Abstract

PT Paiton Opearation and Maintenance Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pembangkit listrik bertenaga uap (PLTU). Salah satu komponen penting dalam kinerja pembangkit yaitu boiler. Efisiensi kerja boiler perlu ditingkatkan agar dapat memperoleh kinerja pembangkit yang baik. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi boiler dalam berbagai variasi beban. Metode penelitian berupa metode direct (output-input) yang dapat mengevaluasi secara cepat. Perhitungan efisiensi boiler dilakukan pada beban 55%, 65%, 75%, 85%, dan 95%. Sehingga efisiensi boiler didapatkan berturut-turut sebesar 85.13%, 84.4%, 84.7%, 86.3%, dan 83.6%. Perbedaan nilai efisiensi boiler dipengaruhi oleh coal flow, kandungan kalori batubara, dan moisture content.

PT Paiton Operation and Maintenance Indonesia is a company operating in the field of steam-powered power plants (PLTU). One important component in generator performance is the boiler. The working efficiency of the boiler needs to be increased in order to obtain good generator performance. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate boiler efficiency in various load variations. The research method is a direct (output-input) method that can evaluate quickly. Calculation of boiler efficiency is carried out at 55%, 65%, 75%, 85% and 95% load. So that the efficiency of the boiler is obtained successively at 85.13%, 84.4%, 84.7%, 86.3% and 83.6%. The difference in boiler efficiency values is influenced by coal flow, coal calorie content, and moisture content.
