Abstract
Korosi yang tetjadi pada pipeline akan berpengaruh terhadap keandalan jaringan pipa. Salah satu jenis korosi yaitu korosi internal mengakibatkan degradasi struktur yang cukup signifl.kan pada elbow pipe. Degradasi struktur lebih lanjut akan mengakibatkan kegagalan struktur. Optimasi desain dilakukan agar diperoleh dimensi ( tebal dinding) elbow pipe (t) sedemikian rupa sehingga sistem mencapai keandalan tertentu yang telah ditentukan dengan biaya instalasi minimum tanpa melanggar batasan. Optimasi desain dilakukan pada jaringan pipa transportasi migas milik Joint Operating Body Pertamina Petrochina East Java Tuban. Tebal dinding elbow pipe dibuat bervariasi agar diperoleh desain yang optimum. Perhitungan keandalan dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat keandalan elbow pipe yang merupakan salah satu batasan dalam melakukan optimasi desain. Perhitungan keandalan elbow pipe dilakukan dengan menggunakan simulasi Monte Carlo. Dari simulasi diperoleh hasil berupa keandalan elbow pipe masing-masing yaitu EP #1 100 %, EP #2 100 %, EP #3 100 % dan EP #4 100 %. Karena hasil perhitungan keandalan sistem menunjukkan nilai yang maksimum, maka untuk optimasi desain dilakukan dengan menggunakan indeks keandalan (p) = 2, 3 dan 4. Optimasi desain dilakukan dengan bantuan software SOLVER. Tebal elbow pipe hasil optimasi adalah sebesar 0,25 inch dari tebal semula 0,593 inch dengan pengurangan ketebalan sebesar 57,84 %. Biaya instalasi setelah optimasi adalah 175,39 $ dari yang semula 462,5 $ dan besarnya penghematan yang terjadi adalah 62,08 %.

Corrosion that occurs on the pipeline will influence the reliability of the pipeline. A type of corrosion is internal corrosion which causes the significant degradation of the structure to the elbow pipe. Structural degradation will lead to further structural failure. Design optimization is conducted to obtain the dimensions (wall thickness) of elbow pipe (t) such that the system reach a certain reliability level which have been determined with minimum installation cost without violating constraints. Design optimization is conducted on the oil and gas pipeline transportation system owned by Joint Operating Body Pertamina-Petrochina East Java Tuban. Elbow pipe wall thickness is varied in order to obtain the optimum design. Reliability calculation is performed to determine the reliability level of the elbow pipe which become a constrain in conducting the design optimization. The reliability calculation of elbow pipe using Monte Carlo Simulation. The simulation produced the reliability of each elbow pipe such as: EP #1 100 %, EP #2 100 %, EP #3 100 % and EP #4 100 %. Since the reliability calculation shows the maximum value, then the optimization design is conducted by using the reliability index (P) = 2, 3 and 4. Design optimization performed with the help of software SOLVER. Thickness of elbow pipe resultedfrom the optimization process is 0.25 inchfrom the original thickness 0.593 inch; with thickness reduction of 57.84 %. Installation costs after optimization process is $ 175.39 from the initial costs $ 462.5 and the amount of savings that happened is 62.08 %.
