Abstract
Dinamika gerak kapal pada saat beroperasi dapat diprediksi pada waktu proses desainnya. Selama beroperasi sebuah kapal mengalami berbagai macam gerakan yaitu heaving, pitching, rolling, yawing, swaying dan surging. Dari keenam macam gerakan tersebut terdapat tiga gerakan yang paling dominant, yaitu heaving, pitching dan rolling. Heaving dan pitching umumnya bekerja secara berpasangan yang mengakibatkan terjadinya Deck wetness dan bottom Slamming. Metode Strip Theory digunakan dalam proses perhitungannya. Sedangkan rolling dihitung secara tersendiri. Perhitungan diawali dengan pemasukan data dan perhitungan koefisien hydrodinamis dengan cara interpolasi berdasar grafik yang tersedia dalam Buku Dynamics of Marine Vehicles. Dengan koefisien-koefisien ini maka besarnya Deck Wetness, Bottom Slamming dan rolling dapat dihitung. Hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukkan ketahanan kapal terhadap gelombang, sehingga dapat direncanakan daerah pelayaran atau pengoperasian dari kapal yang didesain tersebut.

Ship dynamic motion at operational condition can be predicted in the design process. During the operation time, ship will be moving into some kind of motion known as heaving, pitching, rolling, swaying, yawing and surging. From this, heaving, pitching and rolling are three dominant moving direction. Usually, heaving and pitching work together as a coupled motion causing Deck Wetness and Bottom Slamming. Strip Theory Method be used in this calculation process. Beside that, rolling also be calculated as a single motion. Calculating process started by entering data and calculate hydrodinamic coefficient by interpolation methode based on graff on Dynamics of Marine Vehicles Book. With this coefisiens, so Deck Wetness, Bottom Slamming and Rolling can be calculated. The result of this calculation show the endurance of ship from wave, so operational zone of ship can be planning.
