Abstract

Total e-commerce transactions reached 266 trillion in 2020. The target for successful development in the economic sector must be supported by the development of a good transportation system so that last-mile delivery needs more attention. Road safety is a very serious problem and the whole world is struggling to solve the problem of traffic accidents. The
human factor emerged as the most important factor, as it affects active and passive safety in various ways. The main factor of the highest accident is the driver loses concentration and drowsiness. Occupational drivers are considered to be one of the most vulnerable occupational
groups in terms of physiological and psychological health and working conditions. Working drivers are exposed to a high risk of poor sleep quality, poor health status, and excessive fatigue due to long hours of driving. Fatigue is a significant problem in modern society, mainly due to the high demands of the workplace, long periods of work. To obtain data, this study used a questionnaire distributed online and has obtained 115 respondents who passed the screening from a minimum of 96 respondents. There are five hypotheses including driving duration, monotonous environment, task load, sleep quality and traffic density. The hypotheses of driving duration, sleep quality, and task load were accepted and had an effect on driver fatigue. However, the hypotheses for monotonous environment and traffic density were rejected with the possibilities described in the discussion section.
