Abstract

Jumlah kendaraan bermotor di Kota Mojokerto meningkat 5-6% per tahunnya (2017- 2021). Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor berdampak pada kemacetan di beberapa ruas jalan, yang mengakibatkan timbulnya pencemaran udara dan mengakibatkan dampak langsung pada lingkungan sekitarnya, seperti gangguan saluran pernafasan, sesak nafas, bahkan bisa sampai berujung kematian, dan dampak tidak langsung, seperti terjadinya efek rumah kaca akibat pemanasan global. Saat ini luas RTH publik Kota Mojokerto sekitar 5,07 Ha (0,25%), berupa RTH taman dan hutan kota, serta RTH jalur hijau jalan. Emisi gas CO2 berasal dari aktivitas transportasi kendaraan bermotor di ruas Jalan Arteri (sekunder) belum diimbangi dengan penambahan vegetasi di sepanjang koridor. Selain itu, beberapa ruas jalan arteri (sekunder) di Kota Mojokerto belum memiliki RTH Jalur Jalan yang memadai, sehingga diperlukan perhitungan emisi CO2, untuk mengetahui kebutuhan vegetasi sebagai upaya mengurangi efek rumah kaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan menggunakan metode analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari volume kendaraan, jenis kendaraan, jenis bahan bakar, konsumsi bahan bakar, faktor emisi, kategori jalan, gradien jalan, arah jalan, posisi jalan, panjang jalan, batas kecepatan, jumlah lajur, dan jenis vegetasi. Sasaran pertama dan kedua melakukan identifikasi karakteristik jalan dan RTH menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sasaran kedua melakukan perhitungan emisi CO2 menggunakan Software Mobilev 3.0., sasaran keempat melakukan perhitungan daya serap vegetasi dengan metode kuantitatif, serta sasaran kelima merumuskan arahan penyediaan RTH berdasarkan perbandingan daya serap vegetasi terhadap emisi CO2 pada masing-masing ruas jalan arteri (sekunder). Hasil penelitian diperoleh lima ruas Jalan Arteri (sekunder) di Kota Mojokerto membutuhkan penambahan vegetasi pada area ruang terbukanya, yaitu pada Jalan Mojopahit, Jalan Pahlawan, Ahmad Yani, Kyai H. Hasyim Ashari, Residen Pamuji. Arahan berupa vi penambahan vegetasi sejenis, Vertical Garden, pemunduran GSB dan penyediaan tanaman Pucuk Merah.

The number of motorized vehicles in Mojokerto City had increased by 5-6% per year (2017-2021). The increasing number of motorized vehicles causes traffic congestion on several roads, which creates air pollution and aftermaths on the surrounding environment, such as respiratory tract infections and asphyxia, which can even lead to death. It also has indirect aftermath, such as the greenhouse effect from global warming. Currently, the area of Mojokerto’s public green open space is about 5.07 ha (0.25%), in the form of green open space for parks and urban forests as well as green open space for roads. CO2 gas emissions from motorized vehicle transportation activities on the Arterial Road (secondary) had not been balanced with the addition of vegetation along the corridor. Furthermore, several arterial (secondary) roads in Mojokerto City still did not have adequate green open space. Thus, it was necessary to calculate CO2 emissions to determine the vegetation necessity intended to reduce the greenhouse effect. This research was exploratory research using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. The research variables consisted of vehicle volume, vehicle type, fuel type, fuel consumption, emission factor, road category, road gradient, road orientation, road position, road length, speed limit, number of lanes, and vegetation type. The first and second objectives identified the characteristics of roads and green open space using a qualitative descriptive method. The third objective was to calculate CO2 emissions using Mobilev 3.0 software. The fourth objective was to calculate the absorption capacity of vegetation using a quantitative method. Lastly, the fifth objective was to formulate strategies for providing green open space based on the comparison of the absorption capacity of vegetation to CO2 emissions on each arterial (secondary) road segment. The results showed that five arterial roads in Mojokerto City required additional vegetation in their open space areas, including Mojopahit Street, Pahlawan Street, Ahmad Yani Street, Kyai H. Hasyim Ashari Street, and Residen Pamuji Street. The strategies included viii adding similar vegetation, making vertical gardens, moving back the building line, and providing red shoot plants.
