Abstract

This solar cell model is a mathematical equation in the form of an exponential equation related to solar radiation (G), solar cell temperature (Tcell), output current (Iout) & output voltage (Vout) along with several constant values and values of several parameters. Secondary data is obtained through a photovoltaic (PV) module test under G & Tcell conditions with the load being adjusted gradually from low to large and at the same time the output voltage (Vout) & output current (Iout) are measured, recorded and stored in the in the computer's hard disk memory. The I-V relationship of the PV module output is obtained several times with different G & Tcell conditions. Estimated parameter values, G & Tcell condition values in the test and several constant values are used as input data for the solar-cell model. The solution using the numerical iteration method must be done because the I-V model output relationship is in the form of an exponential mathematical equation that requires G & Tcell input data, several constant values and parameter values that have been obtained. So that the results of the current and output voltage relationship curves between the test and the model coincide.
