Abstract

Fin kondensor digunakan sebagai alat penukar panas yang terpasang pada pipa kondensor. Selama produksinya seringkali dapal ditemukan banyak cacat, sehingga pada gilirannya dapat mengurangi produktivitasnya dan meningkatkan biaya produksi. 0leh karena itu untuk memecahkan masalah ini, dirancang dan dibuatlah alat baru jenis progressive dies. Pembuatan fin kondensor dilakukan dengan proses piercing dan collar drawing pada cetakan jenis progressive dies. Pelat aluminium dengan tebal 0,2 mm digunakan sebagai raw material dari fin kondnsor. Proses pembuatannya terdiri alas beberapa tahapan secara manual, penentuan hewsarnya die clearance, gaya collar drawing, gaya piercing, dimensi punch. dies, dan bottom plate. Berdasarkan analisa yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh has if bahwa pembuatan fin kondensor menggunakan progressive dies dibutuhkan gaya masing - masing sebesar 47, 732 kgf dan 33,365 kgf untuk gaya piercing dan gaya collar drawing. Panjang punch masing - masing adalah 71,649 mm untuk proses piercing dan 112,31 mm untuk proses collar drawing. Ketebalan bottom plate dan dies masing - masing adalah 10 mm dan 12 mm

Condenser fin is used as heat exchanger which is fitted on condenser pipes. during its production , defects can often be found, thus in tum reduce its productivity and increase the production cost. in order to solve this problem, a new progressive dies has been designed and engineered The production of the condenser fin is carried out by piercing and collar drawing processes on progressive dies. aluminium sheet 0, 2 mm thick is used as raw material of condenser fin. the design and engineering process comprises of some steps. manually, the determination of die clearance, collar drawing force, piercing force, dimensions of punch, dies and bottom plate. Based on the analysis that has been done, the result show that the production of the condenser fin using progressive dies needs 47,732 kgf and 33,365 kg[ piercing force and collar drawingforce respectively. The length of the punches are 71,649 mm for piercing process and 112,31 mm for collar drawing process. while the clearance are 0,07 mmlside for piercing and 0.23 mmlside for collar drawing process. The thickness of the bottom plate and the dies is 10 mm and 12 mm respectively
