Abstract

Kerja Praktek merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang harus diselesaikan selama menempuh pendidikan di Departemen Teknik Sipil Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Tujuan dari penyelesaian kerja praktik adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan, memberikan gambaran nyata tentang kehidupan profesional, dan menghasilkan lulusan Sarjana Teknik Sipil yang siap bersaing di dunia kerja. Kerja praktik juga bertujuan agar mahasiswa dapat mengaplikasikan teori yang dipelajari di perkuliahan ke dalam situasi nyata di lapangan, serta mendapatkan tambahan ilmu yang tidak didapatkan di lingkungan kampus. Penulis melakukan kerja praktik di PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk pada proyek Bandar Udara Internasional Dhoho di bawah divisi Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC QA) dan Engineering. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan adalah pekerjaan dokumen, pekerjaan gambar teknik, dan observasi pekerjaan lapangan. Pekerjaan lapangan yang diamati meliputi pekerjaan pengaspalan, pekerjaan rigid, pengujian, inspeksi, dan cara penggunaan mmGPS yang merupakan teknologi baru yang digunakan untuk pekerjaan pengaspalan.

Practical Work is a compulsory subject that must be completed while studying at Department of Civil Engineering Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The aim of completing practical work is to increase knowledge, provide a real picture of professional life, and produce Bachelor of Civil Engineering graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work. Practical work also aims to enable students to apply the theory learned in lectures to real situations in the field, as well as to gain additional knowledge that is not obtained in the campus environment. The authors did practical work at PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk of Dhoho International Airport project under Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC QA) and Engineering division. Works done are documents work, technical drawings work, and observation of field works. The field works observed include asphalt works, rigid works, tests, inspections, and how to use mmGPS which is a new technology used for asphalt works.
