Abstract
Aktivitas manusia menjadi penyebab utama peningkatan suhu bumi. Karbon dioksida sebagai Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) utama mempercepat proses pemanasan global dan konsentrasinya di atmosfer terus meningkat sejak era Revolusi Industri 1870. PLTU batubara yang menghasilkan emisi CO2 paling besar apabila dibandingkan dengan pembangkit listrik berbahan bakar lainnya. Tingginya emisi CO2 memperparah proses pemanasan global sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya adaptasi-mitigasi.

Human activities are the main cause of the increase in Earth's temperature. Carbon dioxide as the main greenhouse gas (GHG) accelerates the process of global warming and its concentration in the atmosphere has continued to increase since the Industrial Revolution era in 1870. Coal-fired power plants produce the largest CO2 emissions when compared to other fuel-fired power plants. The high CO2 emissions exacerbate the global warming process so that adaptation-mitigation efforts need to be made. To increase accuracy in GHG inventory, a higher tier emission factor value is required. The results of Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) measurements of CO2 parameters can be used as the basis for calculating Tier-3 emission factors. This study aims to determine the CEMS CO2 Emission Factor (EF), analyze the influence of independent variables on the CEMS CO2 EF value, and compare it with the IPCC and National EF. The method in this research starts from literature study and data collection. Furthermore, valid data sorting and correction of CO2 concentration with measured O2 were carried out to obtain the CO2 EF value. Data analysis and discussion were carried out on the effect of boiler type, generating capacity, electricity production, and type of coal used, as well as comparison of CEMS CO2 EF with default EF and national EF. The CO2 EF value of 30 Coal-Fired Power Plant (CFPP) units from the CEMS measurement results for 2021-2023 is expressed in several units, namely 1,767.997 ± 294.231 kg CO2/ton coal, 107,170.581 ± 19,173.240 kg CO2/TJ, or 1,065.033 ± 166.245 kg CO2/MWh. Generating capacity and electricity production are directly proportional to the CEMS EF value, in contrast to the heating value which is inversely proportional to the CEMS EF. The CEMS EF value is not much different when compared to the IPCC EF and the National EF. To be able to predict the value of CEMS EF, a multiple linear regression equation is used, namely CEMS CO2 EF (kg CO2/ton coal) = 682.277 + (0.009 x Coal consumption (tons/month)) + (0.015 x Heat rate (kcal/kWh)).
