Abstract

Pertanian merupakan sektor penting di Indonesia yang menyediakan pangan, pekerjaan dan ekonomi. Seiring berjalannya waktu, terdapat perubahan paradigma pertanian yang dikenal sebagai “Agri-Food 4.0” dimana implementasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi diterapkan pada dunia pertanian. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada bawang merah sebagai salah satu rempah-rempah yang penting di Indonesia. Bawang merah dipilih karena tingginya risiko untuk menanamnya. Untuk mengurangi risiko tersebut, dikembangkan sebuah sistem transmisi data menggunakan teknologi komunikasi LoRa dari alat IoT menuju komputasi awan Amazon Web Service (AWS). Data yang terkumpul akan diolah melalui algoritma machine learning, dan hasilnya akan dikirimkan kembali ke alat IoT untuk mengotomatisasi sistem pemberian pupuk dan air pada tanaman bawang merah. Data ini juga akan disajikan kepada petani melalui sebuah situs web yang user-friendly. Menggunakan framework Laravel, situs web ini akan memungkinkan petani memantau kondisi tanaman, memahami tindakan yang dilakukan oleh alat IoT, serta menerima rekomendasi mengenai pemupukan dan pengairan. Pengujian kualitas situs web melibatkan user acceptance testing oleh lima petani dan uji cross device compatibility oleh seseorang berlatar belakang teknologi informasi pada sembilan browser dan sistem operasi. Pengujian integrasi menggunakan pendekatan bottom-up untuk memverifikasi keseluruhan sistem. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa user acceptance testing mencapai 90,91%, uji cross device compatibility mencapai 92,59%, dan uji integrasi mencapai 100%. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam menghadirkan solusi teknologi yang efektif dan aman untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, khususnya pada tanaman bawang merah di Indonesia.

Agriculture is an important sector in Indonesia that provides food, employment, and economic stability. Along with time, there has been a paradigm shift in agriculture known as “Agri-Food 4.0,” where information technology and communication were implemented in agriculture. This research focuses on shallots, one of the essential spices in Indonesia, which was chosen due to the high risks associated with its cultivation. To mitigate these risks, a data transmission system utilizing Long-Range (LoRa) communication technology from IoT devices to Amazon Web Service's (AWS) cloud computing will be developed. The gathered data will be processed through machine learning algorithms, and the results will be sent back to IoT devices to automate the fertilization and irrigation systems for shallot cultivation. This data will also be accessible to farmers through a user-friendly website. Developed using the Laravel framework, the website enables farmers to monitor plant conditions, understand IoT device actions, and receive recommendations regarding fertilization and irrigation. Quality testing of the website involves user acceptance testing by five farmers and cross-device compatibility testing by someone with a background in information technology across nine browsers and operating systems. Integration testing utilizes a bottom-up approach to verify the entire system. The test results show that user acceptance testing reached 90.91%, cross-device compatibility testing reached 92.59%, and integration testing reached 100%. Thus, this research significantly contributes to providing an effective and secure technological solution to enhance agricultural productivity, particularly in shallot cultivation in Indonesia.
