Abstract

Pada studi ini dilakukan analisis karakteristik termal busur api listrik seri pada instalasi tegangan rendah. Percobaan busur api listrik seri dilakukan dengan menggunakan variasi beban dan variasi panjang kabel. Beban yang digunakan berupa beban resistif dengan nilai sebesar 1300 Watt, 2200 Watt, 3500 Watt, dan 4400 Watt. Sedangkan panjang kabel yang digunakan sebesar 50 meter dan 100 meter. Pada saat busur api listrik terjadi, didapatkan data arus dan tegangan dari busur api listrik, data citra termal dari kamera termal, dan data citra sebaran bunga api dari high speed camera. Dari data arus dan tegangan yang telah diolah, dapat diketahui nilai dari arus, daya, energi, dan durasi ketika terdapat percikan. Berdasarkan dari citra termal yang telah diperoleh, dapat dilihat perubahan suhu dan sebaran panasnya, sehingga dapat diketahui titik suhu tertinggi dari busur api listrik. Pada citra sebaran bunga api dapat diketahui luas area percikan busur api listrik. Berdasarkan percobaan yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan luas area percikan terbesar sebesar 9630,8 mm2. Pada variasi panjang kabel 50 meter, rata-rata nilai titik suhu tertinggi pada beban 1300 Watt sebesar 45,31°C, pada beban 2200 Watt sebesar 55,40°C, pada beban 3500 Watt sebesar 65,90°C, pada beban 4400 Watt sebesar 85,47°C. Sedangkan pada variasi panjang kabel 100 meter, rata rata nilai titik suhu tertinggi pada beban 1300 Watt sebesar 50,78°C, pada beban 2200 Watt sebesar 56,86°C, pada beban 3500 Watt sebesar 66,74°C, pada beban 4400 Watt sebesar 92,38°C. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil kenaikan nilai suhu, arus, daya, dan luas percikan busur api listrik yang diakibatkan oleh kenaikan nilai pada beban. Pada variasi panjang kabel, hasil yang didapatkan tidak mengalami perubahan yang signifikan.

In this study, an analysis of the thermal characteristics of a series electric arc was conducted on a low voltage installation. Experiments on the series electric arc were carried out using variations load and cable length. The loads used were resistive loads of 1300 Watt, 2200 Watt, 3500 Watt, and 4400 Watt. The cable lengths used were 50 meters and 100 meters. When the electric arc occurred, current and voltage data from the electric arc, thermal images from a thermal camera, and flame spread images from a high speed camera were obtained. From the current and voltage data, the values of current, power, energy, and duration during the occurrence of sparks were determined. Based on the thermal images obtained, temperature changes and heat distribution were observed, allowing the identification of the highest temperature point of the electrical arc. In the flame spread images, the area of electrical arc sparks can be determined. Experiments shows that, the largest spark area obtained was 9630,8 mm². In the 50 meter cable length variation, the average highest temperature point values for a 1300 Watt load were 45,31°C, for a 2200 Watt load were 55,40°C, for a 3500 Watt load were 65,90°C, and for a 4400 Watt load were 85,47°C. On the 100 meter cable length variation, the average highest temperature point values for a 1300 Watt load were 50,78°C, for a 2200 Watt load were 56,86°C, for a 3500 Watt load were 66,74°C, and for a 4400 Watt load were 92,38°C. This study resulted in an increase in temperature, current, power, and the area of electrical arc sparks due to an increase in load value. In the cable length variation, the results obtained did not show significant changes.
