Abstract

Limbah ekstrak ikan gabus (LEIG) dari PT. Royal Medicalink Pharmalab memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi (>50%), sehingga berpotensi menjadi bahan baku pembuatan pelet ikan. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pakan pelet adalah dengan penambahan bakteri asam laktat (BAL) Weissella confusa sebagai probiotik. Penelitian ini ditunjukkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan probiotik BAL Weissella confusa pada pelet LEIG terhadap pertumbuhan dan komposisi proksimat ikan lele (Clarias gariepinus). Kombinasi pelet yang dibuat adalah K0 (Pelet komersial), K1 (Pelet LEIG tanpa probiotik), K2 (Pelet LEIG + probiotik 1,0×105 CFU/g), K3 (Pelet LEIG probiotik 1,0×107 CFU/g), dan K4 (Pelet LEIG + probiotik 1,0×109 CFU/g) dengan masing-masing tiga ulangan. Sampel ikan yang digunakan sejumlah 75 ekor, dengan berat sekitar 2 - 4 gr dan panjang 4 - 5 cm. Pemeliharaan ikan dilakukan selama 30 hari dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan 2 kali/hari. Data pertumbuhan yang diukur mencakup panjang dan berat ikan, nilai konversi pakan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan analisa proksimat pada pelet maupun daging ikan lele setelah perlakuan. Analisa data diawali dengan uji homogenitas data berat dan panjang ikan, dan dilanjutkan dengan ANOVA one-way dan Tukey untuk mengetahui signifikan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan berat dan panjang ikan lele dipengaruhi oleh konsentrasi probiotik. Pertambahan berat dan panjang ikan tertinggi didapatkan dari perlakuan K3 (8,40 g dan 7 cm) dengan laju pertumbuhan spesifik tertinggi yaitu 3,89% weight/day. K3 memiliki nilai FCR 1,34 dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan 53,33%. Hasil uji proksimat pelet K3 sebesar (air 8,45; abu 14,52; lemak 4,15; protein 58,59; karbohidrat 26,82) %, dan pada ikan K3 ikan yakni, (air 75,62; abu 1,93; lemak 1,47; protein 11,82; karbohidrat 17,72) %.

Snakehead fish extract waste (LEIG) from PT. Royal Medicalink Pharmalab has a high protein content (>50%), therefore it has the potential to be a raw material for making fish pellets. One effort to improve the quality of pelleted feed is by adding lactic acid bacteria (LAB) such as Weissella confusa as probiotics. This research was conducted to investigate the effect of adding LAB Weissella confusa to LEIG pellets on catfish growth and proximate composition (Clarias gariepinus). The combination of pellets made was K0 (commercial pellets), K1 (LEIG pellets without probiotics), K2 (LEIG pellets + probiotics 1.0×105 CFU/g), K3 (probiotic LEIG pellets 1.0×107 CFU/g), and K4 (pellets LEIG + probiotics 1.0×109 CFU/g) with three replications each. The fish samples were 75 fish, with weight range of 2 - 4 grams and length range of 4 - 5 cm. Fish rearing was carried out for 30 days with a feeding frequency of 2 times/day. Growth data measured included fish length and weight, feed conversion ratio, survival rate, and proximate analysis of catfish pellets and meat after treatment. Data analysis began with a homogeneity test of fish weight and length data and continued with one-way and Tukey ANOVA to determine the significance between treatments. The results showed that the increase in weight and length of catfish was influenced by probiotic concentration. The highest increase in weight and length of fish was obtained from the K3 treatment (8.40 g and 7 cm) with the highest specific growth rate, namely 3.89% weight/day. K3 has an FCR value of 1.34 and a fish survival rate of 53.33%. The proximate test results for K3 pellets were (water 8.45; ash 14.52; fat 4.15; protein 58.59; carbohydrates 26.82) %, and for K3 fish, namely, (water 75.62; ash 1, 93; fat 1.47; protein 11.82; carbohydrates 17.72) %.
