Abstract

Kebun Pancursari, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII merupakan salah satu perkebunan yang memproduksi Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS). Terdapat 3 kelas mutu RSS yaitu RSS-1, RSS-3, dan cutting. RSS-3 dan cutting merupakan produk turun mutu (defect). Perusahaan telah menerapkan berbagai sertifikasi mutu termasuk sertifikasi ISO 9001:2015. Meskipun demikian, tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa setiap hari masih didapatkan produk RSS turun mutu (defect). Angka produk turun mutu terbesar pada tahun 2022 terjadi pada bulan Juli yaitu sebesar 4% (2641 kg). Adapun karakteristik turun mutu yang terjadi seperti gelembung, karat, dan jamur. Apabila terjadi defect, perusahaan segera melakukan identifikasi permasalahan dan perbaikan tanpa adanya analisis statistik lebih lanjut, sehingga untuk mengurangi produk turun mutu dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis Six Sigma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan indeks kapabilitas serta level sigma pada proses produksi RSS serta menggunakan diagram kontrol Laney P’, kemudian dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui penyebab permasalahan produk turun mutu menggunakan diagram fishbone dan Risk Priority Number (RPN). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi pada bulan September hingga Oktober 2022 (Fase 1) dan November hingga Desember 2022 (Fase 2) telah terkendali dengan mengalami penurunan level sigma yang tidak terlalu signifikan yaitu 3,68σ menjadi 3,67. Selain itu, proses produksi pada Fase 1 dan Fase 1 tidak kapabel karena nilai indeks kapabilites kurang dari 1. Penyebab terjadinya defect dipengaruhi oleh faktor pengukuran (measurement), material, dan lingkungan yaitu kesalahan dalam melakukan pengukuran estimasi produk turun mutu, kesalahan pemberian dosis amonia, lateks mengalami prakoagulasi, serta gudang penyimpanan yang penuh sehingga terjadi penimbunan produk turun mutu.

Kebun Pancursari, PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII, is one of the plantations producing Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS). There are three quality classes of RSS such as RSS-1, RSS-3, and cutting. RSS-3 and cutting are lower-grade products (defects). The company has implemented some quality certifications, including ISO 9001:2015. However, it can not be denied that lower-grade RSS products (defects) are still encountered every day. The highest percentage of lower-grade products in 2022 occurred in July, amounting to 4% (2641 kg). The characteristic of the defects includes bubbles, rust, and fungus. When defects occur, the company promptly identifies and rectifies the issues without further statistical analysis. To reduce lower-grade products, Six Sigma analysis can be used. This research aims to determined the capability index and sigma level in the RSS production process, utilizing the Laney P’ control chart. Furthermore, an analysis is conducted to identify the causes of lower-grade product issues using a fishbone diagram and Risk Priority Number (RPN). The analysis results show that the production process in September to October 2022 (Phase 1) and November to December 2022 (Phase 2) has been under control, with a slight decrease in the sigma level from 3,68σ to 3,67σ. Additionally, the production processes in Phase 1 and Phase 2 are not capables as the capability index values are less than 1. The causes of defects are influenced by measurement, materials, and environment factors, such as error in estimating lower-grade product measurements, incorrect ammonia dosing, latex undergoes precoagulation, and a full storage warehouse leading to the accumulation of lower-grade products.
