Abstract

Berdasarkan jenis bidangnya, terdapat 17 webinar jenis bidang IT dan 33 webinar jenis bidang Non-IT. Setelah dilakukan investigasi, ditemukan bahwa hampir seluruh webinar jenis bidang IT dan Non-IT mengumpulkan data pribadi seperti Email dan No. HP.

This research focuses on privacy issues that arose during the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in restrictions on activities outside the home, resulting in many seminars conducted online via Zoom, or commonly known as webinars. The purpose of this study is to find out how safe the impact of webinars in ITS University is on personal data and to find out the level of knowledge of webinar organizers on privacy. The research method used was to investigate as many as 50 webinars consisting of 15 types of private webinars, 26 types of university webinars, and 9 types of government webinars. From these three types of webinars, the results of discussions related to the type of webinar with privacy issues were obtained. After an investigation, it was found that requests for personal data on private and government webinars were higher than on university webinars. All private and government webinars that were attended asked for personal data such as Email and Mobile Number, while university webinars only half of those attended asked for personal data. This shows that university webinars are more understanding about personal data security. Based on the type of field, there are 17 webinars of IT field types and 33 webinars of Non-IT field types. After investigation, it was found that almost all IT and Non-IT field webinars collected personal data such as Email and Mobile Number. In IT field type webinars, less than a quarter of the sample did not collect personal data. Whereas in IT field type webinars, almost a quarter of the sample did not collect personal data. Then the results of the discussion were obtained about the relationship between statements of understanding by webinar organizers on privacy which are very different from reality in the field. This can be seen from the fact that almost half of the data samples are known to express an understanding of privacy in the survey.
