Abstract
Munisi konvensional yang biasa tersusun dari logam timbal yang terselubung oleh logam tembaga atau dikenal dengan peluru full metal jacket (FMJ) memiliki dampak pencemaran terhadap lingkungan. Maka dikembangkan peluru jenis baru yaitu peluru frangible sebagai green bullet dengan penggunaan material penyusun yang ramah lingkungan. Dalam peningkatan inovasi dari peluru frangible untuk bisa memberikan biaya produksi yang rendah dan ketersediaan material penyusun yang mudah didapatkan dengan tetap memerhatikan nilai densitas yang menyerupai material penyusun peluru pada umumnya, maka pada penilitian ini dilakukan investigasi mengenai material penyusun baru dengan menggunakan logam stainless steel, feronikel, dan besi. Logam penyusun tersebut dikombinasikan dengan material polimer berupa poliamida 6 (PA6) dan penambahan slip additive pada rentang 0,5; 1,0; 1,5 wt% dengan proses pembentukan menggunakan metode injection molding. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan pengujian secara morfologi dan sifat mekanik pada material komposit tersebut. Didapatkan bahwa pada penggunaan serbuk stainless steel dengan penambahan slip additive 0,5 wt% memiliki nilai sifat mekanik seperti kekuatan impak sebesar 118 J/m2; kekuatan tarik sebesar 32,4 MPa; kekuatan tekan sebesar 84,1 MPa; dan persen elongasi sebesar 4% serta nilai viskositas secara teoritis sebesar 1361,35 Pa.s. Didapatkan nilai faktor frangibility sebesar 8,9 yang memenuhi kriteria peluru frangible.

Conventional munitions which are usually composed of lead metal covered by copper or known as full metal jacket (FMJ) bullets have a toxic impact on the environment. then a new type of bullet was developed, namely a frangible bullet as a green bullet using environmentally friendly materials. In order to increase the innovation of frangible bullets to be able to provide low production costs and the availability of materials that are easy to obtain while still paying attention to density values that resemble the materials that make up bullets in general, in this research an investigation was carried out regarding new materials using stainless steel, ferronickel. , and iron. The constituent metals are combined with polymer material in the form of polyamide 6 (PA6) and the addition of slip additive in the range of 0.5; 1.0; 1.5 wt% with a forming process using the injection molding method. Afterwards, morphological and mechanical properties tests will be carried out on the composite material. It was found that using stainless steel powder with the addition of 0.5wt% slip agent had mechanical property values such as impact strength of 118 J/m2; tensile strength of 32.4 MPa; compressive strength of 84.1 MPa; and percent elongation of 4% and theoretical viscosity value of 1361.35 Pa.s. The frangibility factor value was obtained at 8.9, which meets the criteria for frangible bullets.
