Abstract

As a labour-intensive sector, textile and garment industry has an export orientation. One of the ways to increase the number of exports and stem the number of imports is to improve the added value of their products by increasing its quality, by reducing number of defects. These defects in products can occur due to several things during the production process, one of them is human factors. Thus, this research is conducted to evaluate human reliability in one of small-medium industry, specifically in the t-shirt production process at CV Integrasi Ide Indonesia Jakarta branch by measuring the level of human error in the company's production process. Human reliability analysis was carried out using the Standardized Plant Analysis Risk-Human (SPAR-H) Reliability Analysis method as a framework for research instruments for risk analysis in the probability of human error according to the type of task. The SPAR-H method are divided into 3 categories, namely; decomposition of task into diagnostic and action, assigning base case human error probability (HEP) according to failure, and Use of pre-defined performance shaping factors (PSF), with its appropriate value. Based on the reliability assessment in the production area of t-shirt making, subtask ‘cutting the pattern’ has the highest HEP with the value of 0.10014. A recommendation tool for improvement is made for the company in order to reduce the occurrence of errors in the production process so that it will reduce the possibility of human error.
