Abstract

Maraknya kafe board game dan komunitas board game di Indonesia menandakan bahwa board game merupakan salah satu media komersil yang diminati masyarakat saat ini (undip.id, 2022), begitu pula dengan board game edukasi. Salah satu edukasi yang penting untuk dilakukan adalah edukasi mengenai pentingnya melakukan tes buta warna sejak dini. Diharapkan penelitian ini akan menjadi solusi permasalahan tersebut melalui komersialisasi board game yang dapat mendeteksi buta warna. Dengan tujuan dari perancangan ini yaitu mengembangkan media untuk melakukan pengetesan buta warna pada anak sehingga lebih mudah dipahami. Perancangan ini akan dibuat dengan beberapa metode penelitian diantaranya yaitu, pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dan eksisiting, studi eksperimental untuk menentukan konsep desain, depth interview kepada beberapa ahli, dan user testing yang kemudian akan dilakukan evaluasi terhadap desain yang akan dieksekusi. Depth interview dilakukan kepada 3 narasumber secara berurutan yaitu dokter spesialis mata, psikolog anak, dan pakar board game. Hasil dari metode penelitian di atas berupa pengaplikasian alat tes buta warna Ishihara dan Farnsworth D-15 ke dalam media board game dengan menyesuaikan psikologi anak. Hasil akhir penelitian ini berupa media board game bertajuk EYE SEE HUE yang merupakan board game ketangkasan yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pendeteksian buta warna, dengan komponen utama berupa 81 buah kartu, dengan komponen tambahan lain berupa 3 buah koin, 19 buah googly eyes sebagai token, lembar informasi, serta kemasan yang ada. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan komersialisasi board game sebagai peluang bisnis sekaligus menjadi alternatif media yang lebih terjangkau untuk melakukan tes buta warna pada anak

The rise of board game cafes and board game communities in Indonesia indicates that board games are one of the commercial media that people are currently interested in (undip.id, 2022), as are educational board games. One of the important education things to do is education about the importance of carrying out color blindness tests from an early age. It is hoped that this research will be a solution to this problem through the commercialization of board games that can detect color blindness. The aim of this design is to develop media for testing children for color blindness so that it is easier to understand. This design will be made using several research methods, including data collection through literature and existing studies, experimental studies to determine the design concept, in-depth interviews with several experts, and user testing which will then be evaluated on the design to be executed. Depth interviews were conducted with 3 sources in sequence, namely an ophthalmologist, child psychologist, and board game expert. The results of the research method above are the application of the Ishihara and Farnsworth D-15 color blindness test tool to board game media by adapting child psychology. The final result of this research is a media board game entitled EYE SEE HUE which is a dexterity board game that can be used to detect color blindness, with the main component being 81 cards, with other additional components in the form of 3 coins, 19 googly eyes as tokens, information sheet, as well as existing packaging. The conclusion of this research is to commercialize board games as a business opportunity as well as a more affordable alternative medium for conducting color blindness tests on children
