Abstract

Olahraga balap sedang berkembang pesat di Indonesia selaras dengan perkembangan industri otomotif, ditandai juga dengan datangnya balapan internasional seperti Formula E hingga WRC. Dilansir dari website resmi Formula E, tercatat 13,4 juta orang menonton balapan tersebut dari seluruh Indonesia saat gelaran Jakarta E-Prix pada tahun 2022 kemarin. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, terdapat peluang bisnis dan kesempatan meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap balap mobil melalui Taxi Ride di sirkuit. Namun, mobil yang digunakan layanan Taxi Ride kebanyakan tidak didesain untuk mengangkut penumpang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan desain mobil yang memberikan performa dan kemudahan operasional layaknya mobil balap, sambil memperhatikan kenyamanan dan kebutuhan penumpang agar pengalaman lebih maksimal. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan observasi dan deep interview selama 3 hari dengan 1 orang pengemudi mobil balap dan 2 orang penumpang Taxi Ride. Data yang didapat diolah lagi dengan metode Persona untuk menentukan jenis styling dan Customer Journey Mapping dan kemudian digunakan untuk merumuskan DRNO. Konsep desain yang akan dibuat adalah mobil dengan konstruksi space frame untuk memudahkan perawatan, dengan layout mesin depan dan penggerak roda belakang untuk mempermudah pengendalian mobil, pemberian fitur lebih untuk memaksimalkan pengalaman penumpang, dan dalam hal styling, mobil ini akan mengadopsi tren terbaru yang terinspirasi oleh kategori endurance.

Motorsports are rapidly growing in Indonesia in line with the development of the automotive industry, marked by the arrival of international races such as Formula E and WRC. According to the official Formula E website, it is recorded that 13.4 million people watched the race from all over Indonesia during the Jakarta E-Prix in 2022. Based on this phenomenon, there are business opportunities and chances to increase public interest in car racing through Taxi Ride at the circuit. However, most Taxi Ride cars are not designed with passengers in mind. Therefore, a new design is needed that provides operability similar to race cars, while also considering passengers’ needs to enhance the experience. Data were collected through three days of observation and Deep interviews involving one racing car driver and two Taxi Ride passengers. The collected data was further analyzed using the Persona method to determine the appropriate styling and Customer Journey Mapping to formulate the Design Requirement and Objective (DRNO). The proposed concept involves a racecar with a space frame construction for easy maintenance, featuring a front engine layout and rear-wheel drive for improved car control, and the car will adopt the latest styling trends inspired by the endurance category.
