Abstract

Gempa bumi adalah peristiwa alam yang berupa getaran atau gerakan bergelombang pada kulit bumi yang ditimbulkan oleh tenaga asal dalam bumi. Kejadian gempabumi dapat menimbulkan bahaya susulan lain yang lebih berbahaya seperti bangunan gedung yang roboh. Di Indonesia bangunan struktur beton bertulang merupakan material yang paling populer jika dibandingkan dengan struktur baja. Dalam perencanaan struktur bangunan tahan gempa, baja masih menjadi pilihan favorit sebagai material struktur bangunan tahan gempa. Dalam penrencanaan struktur bangunan tahan gempa terdapat beberapa sistem struktur baja tahan gempa yang dapat diterapkan pada bangunan yaitu Eccetrically Braced Frame (EBF). Eccetrically Braced Frame (EBF) adalah pengaku yang memiliki kekakuan dan daktilitas yang tinggi. Kekauan EBF yang tinggi diperoleh dari hubungan balok dan kolom, sedangkan daktilitas yang tinggi diperoleh dari elemen link yang mampu berdeformasi secara inelastic. Link pada EBF berfungsi sebagai fuse dimana pada bagian inilah diharapkan terjadinya kerusakan lebih dahulu. Dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai kelebihan struktur baja serta penerapan perkuatan Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF). Maka dalam tugas akhir ini akan direncanakan modifikasi pada gedung kantor pusat asdo Indonesia ferry dengan menggunakan system struktur Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) type two story X-Bracing. Oleh karena itu, dalam tugas akhir ini diajukan judul Modifikasi Gedung Kantor Pusat ASDP Indonesia Ferry menggunakan system rangka Eccentrycally Braced Frame (EBF) Tipe Two Story X-Bracing.

Earthquakes are natural events in the form of vibrations or undulating movements in the earth's crust caused by energy originating within the earth. Earthquake events can cause more dangerous aftershocks, such as collapsed buildings. In Indonesia, reinforced concrete structure buildings are the most popular material compared to steel structures. In planning earthquake resistant building structures, steel is still the favorite choice as an earthquake resistant building structure material. In planning earthquake resistant building structures, there are several earthquake resistant steel structure systems that can be applied to buildings, namely Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF). Eccetrically Braced Frame (EBF) is a stiffener that has high stiffness and ductility. High EBF stiffness is obtained from beam and column connections, while high ductility is obtained from link elements that are able to deform inelastically. The link on the EBF functions as a fuse where it is in this section that damage is expected to occur first. Taking into account the various advantages of steel structures and the application of Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) reinforcement. So, in this final project it will be planned to modify the asdo Indonesia ferry head office building using the Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) type two story X-Bracing structure system. Therefore, in this final project the title Modification of the ASDP Indonesia Ferry Head Office Building uses an Eccentrically Braced Frame (EBF) Type Two Story X-Bracing system.
