Abstract
Hingga saat ini penggunaan bahan bakar fosil masih mendominasi di dalam bidang perkapalan yang hal itu turut menyumbang emisi karbon. Dalam upaya menekan kebutuhan bahan bakar, proses desain menjadi bagian penting. Salah satu hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk menekan kebutuhan daya mesin adalah dengan mengurangi nilai resistance atau hambatan yang terjadi pada lambung kapal. Dari beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan, penggunaan lambung trimaran dapat mengurangi nilai hambatan jika dibandingkan dengan lambung tipe mono hull, namun literasi terkait penentuan besar volume displacement side hull terhadap lambung utama masih jarang ditemukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan studi hambatan kapal trimaran dengan melakukan variasi volume displacement antara lambung tengah dan samping sehingga didapatkan nilai yang paling optimal dengan menggunakan metode CFD. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai hambatan, interference factor, nilai tekanan dan selisih ketinggian elevasi gelombang. Dimana nilai hambatan, interference factor, nilai tekanan dan selisih elevasi gelombang tertinggi dihasilkan oleh lambung dengan variasi displacement tipe 3 , disusul dengan tipe 2 dan terendah tipe 1. Dan semakin kecil nilai S/L ratio maka nilai hambatan, interference factor, nilai tekanan serta selisih elevasi gelombang akan cenderung semakin besar. ==================================================================================================================================
The utilization of fossil fuels nowdays still dominates the marine sector that contributes to carbon emissions. The design process be important part in an effort to reduce fuel needs. One of the things that can be done to reduce engine power requirements is to reduce the resistance value that occurs in the ship's hull. Based on many research were that using a trimaran hull can reduce the resistance value compared to a mono hull type hull. However, literature on determining the displacement volume of the side hull against the main hull still needs to be found. This research aims to conduct a trimaran ship resistance by varying the displacement volume between the middle and side hulls to obtain the most optimal value using the CFD method. Based on the research results, has been obtained the interference factor value, pressure value and wave elevation. Where the highest resistance value, interference factor, pressure value and wave elevation difference are produced by hull with type 3 displacement variations, followed by type 2 and the lowest is type 1. When the S/L ratio value, the resistance value, interference factor, and pressure value getting smaller hence the difference in wave elevation will tend to be larger.
