Abstract

The advancement of technology has opened the door to the global influence of K-Pop culture, extending its reach to Indonesia and resulting in a significant fan base. In response to this, this research explores architectural design that can accommodate various activities of K-Pop fans in Indonesia. Utilizing the occasional architecture approach, this research proposes the integration of non-event activities, such as K-Food, and office functions into the designed space. This integration creates opportunities for the phenomenon of disjunction, where K-Pop not only serves as design inspiration but also influences formal and spatial elements. The aim of this design is to provide a holistic experience for K-Pop fans, creating a healing atmosphere within the space. Through methods such as music transcription, disjunction, and surveys, this design combines the concept of occasional architecture with spatial flexibility that considers usage during non-event periods. The phenomenon of disjunction is key to ensuring that the space can become a center for daily activities encompassing elements of Korean culture, particularly K-Pop. Thus, fans can experience a comprehensive and immersive K-Pop experience within the space.
