Abstract

The BI and analytics team have an issue with their current reporting tools . The current tools is running more than 500 reports and there is lack of knowledge about existing reports . To overcome this problem, the team then assigned the intern to in-depth analysis existing reports. The goal of the project is to provide the team insight and interactive dashboard, which can answer all the business needs, and fit with the requirements of the end-users. The project management method used is the waterfall method, which is then divided into 5 milestones based on the research questions. The DOT Framework is also used to address each research question to the output so everything will be kept on track as wished.
The first phase was the requirement, which has an output of the requirement analysis that answers RQ 1. The second phase was the design, where the intern is doing the data model interpretation , list and prioritize quality criteria , and did validation by survey and interview to the end-user .This phase was answering RQ 2 and RQ 3. The next phase is the implementation, where the intern has already gotten the feedback and reduction criteria about existing reports also create prototype to find the best output as possible . This phase answers RQ 4 and RQ 5. The fourth phase is the verification phase, which consisted of a lot of validation processes. This phase then be the strong answer to the existing answered research questions. The last phase was maintenance, where everything has been settled and ready to use and uploaded to the server with no further changes. This phase was also an answer to the final question which is the RQ 6.

Tim BI dan analitik mempunyai masalah dengan alat pelaporan mereka saat ini. Alat yang ada saat ini menjalankan lebih dari 500 laporan dan pengetahuan tentang laporan yang ada masih kurang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, tim kemudian menugaskan peserta magang untuk menganalisis secara mendalam laporan-laporan yang ada. Tujuan dari proyek ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan tim dan dasbor interaktif, yang dapat menjawab semua kebutuhan bisnis, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna akhir. Metode manajemen proyek yang digunakan adalah metode air terjun, yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 5 tahapan berdasarkan pertanyaan penelitian. Framework DOT juga digunakan untuk menjawab setiap pertanyaan penelitian hingga menghasilkan output sehingga semuanya akan tetap berjalan sesuai keinginan.

Tahap pertama adalah persyaratan yang mempunyai output berupa analisis kebutuhan yang menjawab RQ 1. Tahap kedua adalah desain, dimana peserta magang melakukan interpretasi model data, membuat daftar dan memprioritaskan kriteria kualitas, serta melakukan validasi melalui survei dan wawancara. kepada end-user. Tahap ini menjawab RQ 2 dan RQ 3. Tahap selanjutnya adalah implementasi, dimana peserta magang sudah mendapatkan masukan dan pengurangan kriteria tentang laporan yang ada serta membuat prototype untuk mencari keluaran terbaik. Fase ini menjawab RQ 4 dan RQ 5. Fase keempat adalah fase verifikasi yang terdiri dari banyak proses validasi. Fase ini kemudian menjadi jawaban yang kuat terhadap pertanyaan-pertanyaan penelitian yang telah terjawab. Tahap terakhir adalah maintenance, dimana semuanya sudah beres dan siap digunakan dan diupload ke server tanpa ada perubahan lebih lanjut. Fase ini juga merupakan jawaban dari pertanyaan terakhir yaitu RQ 6.
