Abstract

In the shipping business, commercial ships have schedules and plans that have been set by the shipping company, whether arriving or departing at each port. If there is a delay from the predetermined schedule, the company will suffer a loss. The smooth loading and unloading are the main factors in supporting the ship's operational activities, if one component of the cargo oil pump is damaged it can result in a decrease in the performance of the cargo oil pump. For example, leaks in mechanical seals, damage to bearings, damage to impellers, and damage to pump drive parts, such as the electromotor. This will cause the cargo oil pump to be inoperable and have an impact on the loading and unloading process. Real-time monitoring systems that are integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) have revolutionized various industries by enabling continuous and remote tracking of critical data in real time. These systems leverage interconnected devices and sensors to collect, transmit, and analyze information instantaneously, providing valuable insights for proactive decision-making and process optimization. This research aims to create a real-time monitoring system that is integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) on a cargo oil pump in the form of a lab-scale experiment using sensors to retrieve data from the parameters of suction pressure, discharge pressure, flow, and temperature. After that, the data will be digitalized by the microcontroller Arduino Mega Pro 2560 which is already installed on the PCB, and transmitted to the Blynk cloud server via an internet connection using a SIM800L module with GPRS connection. Parameter data will be visualized on the web platform Blynk from the cloud server.
