Abstract

Hingga saat ini, banyak polyethilene yang tidak terpakai lagi. Masyarakat kurang mengetahui pemanfaatan polyethylene lebih lanjut. Sehingga dalam tugas akhir ini dibuat alat yaitu mesin pencacah polyethylen yang dapat memberikan manfaat dalam pencacahan polyethylene yng nantinya akan digunakan sebagai bahan campuran pembuatan batu beton. Perencanaan ini dimulai dengan menentukan kapasitas yang akan diproduksi, kemudian dilakukan perhitunganperhitungan pada daya motor, gaya yang dibutuhkan untuk mencacah polyethylene, transmisi belt dan pulley, poros, bearing, dan pasak. Dari perencanaan diperoleh alat pencacah polyethylene dengan daya motor 3hp, putaran motor 937rpm serta mempunyai kapasitas mesin 500kg/jam. Diameter pencacah 100mm dan 200mm dan kecepatan keliling pulley 6,231m/s

Until now, much polyethylene is no longer used. The public is less aware of the further uses of polyethylene. So in this final project a tool was created, namely a polyethylene chopping machine which can provide benefits in chopping polyethylene which will later be used as a mixture for making concrete stones. This planning begins with determining the capacity to be produced, then calculations are carried out on motor power, the force required to chop polyethylene, transmission belts and pulleys, shafts, bearings and pegs. From the planning, we obtained a polyethylene chopper with a 3hp motor power, 937rpm motor rotation and an engine capacity of 500kg/hour. Counter diameter 100mm and 200mm and the pulley circumferential speed is 6,231m/s
