Abstract

Selama ini dalam membersihkan pelet plastik masih dilakukan secara manual seperti membilas pakaian pada bak besa berisi penuh air minimal 3 kali pembilasan, sehingga kadang membuat tangan pedih, produksi yang dihasilkan sangat kecil dan butuh waktu cukup lama . Karena itu akan diusahakan perencanaan dan pembuatan mesin pembersih pelet plastik agar produksinya menjadi lebih besar dan cepat. Dalam perancangan mesin pembersih pelet plastik ini telebih dahulu melakukan proses perhitungan, diantaranya ialah menghitung daya yang dibutuhkan oleh mesin, jenis dan panjang belt, diameter dan bahan poros, jenis dan prediksi umur bearing. Dan setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan proses pengujian. Dari hasil perhitungan maka diperoleh daya total yang dibutuhkan untuk menggerakkan mesin adalah 1 Hp, jenis belt yang digunakan adalah V belt tipe B dengan panjang 800 mm, bahan poros yang digunakan adalah AJSJ 1010 HR dengan diameter sebesar 31.75 mm, Jenis bearing yang digunakan adalah type single row deep grove ball bearing seri 300 dan umur dari bearing tersebut ialah 19010,61 jam. Dan kapasitas produksi dengan pengujian rata- rata didapatkan 158, 4 kg/jam

So far, cleaning plastic pellets is still done manually, such as rinsing clothes in a large tub full of water, at least 3 rinses, so that sometimes it makes your hands sore, the production produced is very small and takes quite a long time. Therefore, efforts will be made to plan and build a plastic pellet cleaning machine so that production can be larger and faster. In designing this plastic pellet cleaning machine, a calculation process is first carried out, including calculating the power required by the machine, type and length of belt, diameter and material of the shaft, type and predicted life of the bearing. And after that it continues with the testing process. From the calculation results, it is obtained that the total power required to move the machine is 1 HP, the type of belt used is V belt type B with a length of 800 mm, the shaft material used is AJSJ 1010 HR with a diameter of 31.75 mm, the type of bearing used is type single row deep grove ball bearing series 300 and the life of this bearing is 19010.61 hours. And the production capacity with average testing was found to be 158.4 kg/hour
