Abstract

Pada penelitian ini adalah sebuah pemikiran dalam proses perancangan kamar mesin, dalam sebuah proses perancangan kamar mesin seorang engineer dituntut untuk berpikir dalam berbagai dimensi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perancangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kebutuhan kedekatan antar peralatan yang membentuk suatu system, dan kedekatan ini disusun berdasarkan keruntutan penyusunan peralatan dengan nilai pertimbangannya adalah dimensi yang ada dari ruangan tersebut. Selanjutnya tampilan yang tampak kemungkinan mampu mendukung sebuah keputusan dalam peletakkan peralatan dalam kamar mesin, meskipun hasil dari tampilan be1um ter1a1u meyakinkan, akan tetapi mampu memberikan sebuah akar pemikiran dalam proses perancanagan dalam kamar mesin

In this research is a thought in the engine room design process, in the engine room design process an engineer is required to think in various dimensions to meet design needs. The method used is to use the proximity requirement approach between equipment that forms a system, and this proximity is arranged based on the sequence of equipment arrangement with the consideration value being the existing dimensions of the room. Furthermore, the visible appearance is likely to be able to support a decision in placing equipment in the engine room, although the results of the display are not yet convincing, but are able to provide a root of thought in the design process in the engine room
