Abstract

Kemiskinan merupakan permasalahan serius yang terjadi di Indonesia. Provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki tingkat kemiskinan tertinggi adalah Provinsi Papua. Provinsi Papua dengan kekayaan alam yang melimpah, namun masih memiliki persentase penduduk miskin tertinggi di Indonesia. Cara menurukan persentase penduduk miskin di Provinsi Papua salah satunya perlu diselidiki faktor-faktor apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua. Untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan di kabupaten/kota Provinsi Papua dalam kurun waktu tahun 2018 hingga tahun 2021 maka dapat digunakan regresi data panel. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah pada tahun 2018 hingga 2021 persentase penduduk miskin di Provinsi Papua lebih dari 25%, angka harapan hidup dan angka partisipasi sekolah cenderung meningkat, rasio ketergantungan dan tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja cenderung menurun dan pertumbuhan penduduk berfluktuasi. Faktor yang terbukti memengaruhi persentase penduduk miskin adalah angka harapan hidup dengan nilai kebaikan model sebesar 99,75% dan daerah dengan kemiskinan tertinggi adalah Kabupaten Deiyai.

Poverty is a serious issue in Indonesia, and the province with the highest poverty rate is Papua. Despite its abundant natural resources, Papua still has the highest percentage of impoverished population in Indonesia. One way to reduce the percentage of the population living in poverty in Papua is to investigate the factors influencing poverty in the province. To identify the factors affecting poverty in the regencies of Papua Province from 2018 to 2021, panel data regression can be used. The results obtained from this research indicate that from 2018 to 2021, the percentage of the population living in poverty in the Papua Province was more than 25%. The life expectancy and school participation rates tended to increase, while the dependency ratio and labor force participation rate tended to decrease, and population growth fluctuated. The factor proven to influence the percentage of the population living in poverty is life expectancy, with a goodness-of-fit model value of 99.75%, and the region with the highest poverty is Deiyai.
