Abstract

Jalan Surabaya - Gresik merupakan jalan nasional yang sangat penting peranannya bagi perekonomian Jawa-Timur dan nasional. Dikarenakan jalan tersebut merupakan jalur yang menghubungkan beberapa kota besar di utara pulau Jawa. Pelebaran jalan Surabaya - Gresik, Jawa Timur berada di atas lapisan tanah sangat Iembek dimana kondisi tanah dasar adalah lempung lunak sedalam 25 m. Hal tersebut dapat menimbulkan masalah karena sifat tanah lempung lunak yang mudah memampat dan nilai daya dukungnya rendah, sehingga konstruksi jalan yang berdiri diatasnya mudah mengalami kerusakan . Agar konstruksi jalan yang dibangun di atas lapisan tanah sangat Iembek tersebut tidak mengalami kerusakan, diperlukan metode perbaikan tanah yang berfungsi untuk mempercepat penurunan dan meningkatkan daya dukung tanah agar konstruksi jalan tersebut aman Konstruksi Perkerasan yang digunakan dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah konstruksi perkerasan kaku dan lentur , untuk perkerasan kaku dengan umur rencana 20 tahun didapatkan tebal perkerasan 33 cm ,diameter dowel 3.2cm( l 1/4 inch) dan tie bars 1.27 cm (1/2 inch).Sedangkan untuk perkerasan lentur dengan umur rencana 10 tahun didapatkan tebal lapisan permukaan setebal 23 cm (Laston ),lapisan pondasi atas setebal 20 cm dan lapisan pondasi bawah 20 cm. Evaluasi Perbaikan tanah yang dilakukan menghasilkan Pengunaan PVD pola segi empat dengan jarak spasi lm serta kedalaman 6 m untuk perkerasan kaku dengan umur rencana 20 tahun ,kedalaman 11 m untuk perkerasan lentur umur rencana 10 tahun serta pengunaan geotextille sebanyak 3 lapis dengan jarak antar lapisan 0.6 m sebagai separator dan perkuatan timbunan

Surabaya - Gresik Road is a national road which plays a very important role in the East Java and national economy. Because this road is a route that connects several large cities in the north of the island of Java. The widening of the Surabaya - Gresik, East Java road is on a very soft soil layer where the basic soil condition is soft clay 25 m deep. This can cause problems because the nature of soft clay soil is easily compressed and its bearing capacity is low, so that road construction standing on it is easily damaged. So that road construction built on very soft soil layers does not experience damage, a soil improvement method is needed which functions to accelerate subsidence and increase the bearing capacity of the soil so that the road construction is safe. The pavement construction used in this final project is rigid and flexible pavement construction, for rigid pavement with a design life of 20 years, the pavement thickness is 33 cm, dowel diameter is 3.2 cm (l 1/4 inch) and tie bars are 1.27 cm (1/2 inch). Meanwhile, for flexible pavement with a design life of 10 years, the surface layer thickness is obtained. 23 cm thick (Laston), the top foundation layer is 20 cm thick and the bottom foundation layer is 20 cm. Evaluation of soil improvements carried out resulted in the use of rectangular pattern PVD with lm spacing and a depth of 6 m for rigid pavement with a design life of 20 years, a depth of 11 m for flexible pavement with a design life of 10 years and the use of 3 layers of geotextille with a distance between layers of 0.6 m as a separator and embankment reinforcement
