Abstract

In the oil and gas industry, the production process is one of the important stages. And to support the process of offshore oil exploration and exploitation, offshore platforms are needed. Offshore platforms are specially designed to be able to extract oil and gas sources from the earth's surface which are located below sea level. Based on the type and function, there are various types of platforms, and for a new project, further assessment needs to be carried out to determine which type of platform is the most suitable. Likewise with the project in the Madura field, the North Processing Facility. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was chosen as the platform selection method for the project in this final project. AHP is a decision-making method to determine the best alternative based on criteria and sub criteria that rely on the opinions of experts in their fields. The selected structure will be further analyzed with static or inplace analysis to obtain the unity check of member. The member with the highest unity check is then used in reliability analysis with Monte Carlo Simulation. From the results of the AHP calculation, an alternative structure of a 3-foot Jacket with a weight of 0.538 was obtained, then a 3-foot Jack-up platform type with a weight of 0.287 and an FPSO platform type with a weight of 0.175. Then the unity check of members from the selected platform is 0.742 during operating conditions and 0.84 during storm conditions. And from the reliability analysis, it is obtained that the PoF operating conditions are 0.53524 and 0.62614 during storm conditions.
