Abstract

Pokok permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah fenomena belum tepenuhinya kebutuhan pengembangan taman kota di Surabaya Timur. Dasar permasalahan belum terpenuhinya kebutuhan taman kota dibuktikan dengan meninjau teori dan standar pengembangan taman kota dengan skala pelayanan kecamatan yang menunjukan bahwa ada indikasi kurangnya pengembangan taman kota di wilayah lni. Dengan adanya permasalahan ini, diperlukan penentuan sebab terbatasnya taman kota, yaitu falctor-faktor yang menjadi dasar penyebab terbatasnya keberadaan taman kota di wilayah Surabaya Timur. Berdasarkan faktor-faktor tersebut, selanjutnya dirumuskan konsep pengembangan taman kota di Surabaya Timur sebagai rumusan pengembangan kota yang dapat mengatasi faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab permasalahan. Pada penelitian ini teknik analisis yang digunakan untuk Merumuskan kebutuhan taman kota di Surabaya Timur adalah teknis analisis multivariat dengan metode analisis cluster dan analisis deskriptif, yaitu mengelompokan beherapa obyek menjadi beberapa cluster dengan ciri yang homogen untuk masing-masing cluster

The main problem in this research is the phenomenon of the need for city park development in East Surabaya not being met. The basis of the problem of not having met the need for city parks is proven by reviewing the theory and standards for city park development at the sub-district service scale which shows that there are indications of a lack of development of city parks in this area. Given this problem, it is necessary to determine the causes of the limited number of city parks, namely the factors that are the basis for the limited existence of city parks in the East Surabaya area. Based on these factors, the concept of developing a city park in East Surabaya was formulated as a city development formula that could overcome the factors that cause problems. In this research, the analysis technique used for Formulating the need for city parks in East Surabaya is a multivariate analysis technique using cluster analysis and descriptive analysis methods, namely grouping several objects into several clusters with homogeneous characteristics for each cluster
