Abstract

Kota Surabaya dengan karakteristik topografi dan jenis tanah yang rendah tingkat porositasnya, curah hujan, dan pasang surut permukaan air laut menjadikannya rawan akan ketahanan air yang mengganggu efektifitas berjalannya kehidupan kota Surabaya dan kota-kota lain di sekitarnya. Salah satunya adalah aspek pengembangan transportasi dan logistic, yang mana didukung dengan efektifitas infrastruktur kota. Salah satunya adalah terminal penumpang Kedung Cowek Tipe B. Terminal ini ditujukan untuk perbaikan penataan transportasi kota dalam rangka meratakan perkembangan kota yang sudah mulai menyebar ke pinggiran dan menampung mobilitas warga dari Surabaya-Madura sebagai kawasan suburban. Namun kerapkali, permasalahan banjir dan genangan terjadi pada kawasan ini. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Aquatecture untuk tujuan yang berorientasi pada ketahanan air dan Teori Space, Event and Movement untuk tujuan efektivitas dan promosi transportasi umum dengan implementasi menggunakan metode rancang Architectural Programming sebagai ruang komunal untuk masyarakat. Didapatkan konsep desain bangunan yang berorientasi pada flowing water dalam topografi lahan yang didukung oleh bentuk dan program ruang dalam obyek rancang. Selain memandang obyek dalam skala bangunan, juga mempertimbangkan potensi kawasan dengan menggunakan Place Making dan Water Sensitive Urban Design.

Surabaya with the characteristics of topographic conditions, soil properties, high rainfall, and an increase in tides in sea level makes it vulnerable to water resistance which interferes with the effectiveness of the life of the city of Surabaya and other cities around it. One of them is the aspect of developing transportation and logistics, which is supported by the effectiveness of city infrastructure. One of them is the Kedung Cowek Type B passenger terminal. This terminal is intended to improve the arrangement of urban transportation in order to even out the development of the city which has begun to spread to the outskirts and accommodate the mobility of residents from Surabaya-Madura as a suburban area. However, often, flooding and inundation problems occur in this area. By using the Aquatecture approach for purposes oriented to water security and Space, Event and Movement theory for the purpose of effectiveness and promotion of public transportation by implementing the Architectural Programming design method as a communal space for the community. The building design concept is oriented to flowing water in the topography of the land which is supported by the shape and space program in the design object. In addition to looking at objects on a building scale, they also consider the potential of the area by using Place Making and Water Sensitive Urban Design.
