Abstract

Pandemi yang terjadi beberapa waktu yang lalu telah menuntut sebagian besar perguruan tinggi untuk mengadopsi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Hal ini didorong oleh kebijakan pemerintah yang mengharuskan penerapan protokol kesehatan dan pembatasan sosial. Penggunaan Google Classroom sebagai Learning Management System (LMS) ternyata memberikan potensi bagi perguruan tinggi dikarenakan biayanya yang relatif jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan Learning Management System (LMS) lain, mendukung integrasi dengan Google Meet yang merupakan aplikasi videoconference daring, serta membantu dalam mengelola berkas-berkas pembelajaran. Universitas XYZ saat ini telah menyediakan layanan Learning Management System (LMS) bagi dosen-dosennya melalui platform Google Classroom. Sayangnya, penggunaan Google Classroom ikut mengalami penurunan setelah kebijakan pembatasan sosial dihentikan. Hal ini menjadi perhatian bagi peneliti untuk melakukan analisis untuk memberikan rekomendasi bagi Universitas XYZ dalam meningkatan kembali penggunaan Google Classroom pada era pasca-pandemi agar kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat terdigitalisasi dan tersentralisasi dalam sebuah sistem. Peneliti merancang tahap-tahap penelitian mulai dari perumusan masalah, menggunakan model UTAUT2 sebagai pendekatan dengan analisis PLS-SEM, dan pemberian rekomendasi bagi perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan dua variabel yang memengaruhi penerimaan penggunaan Google Classroom yaitu Performance Expectancy dan Habit serta nilai R-Square 0.564 pada variabel Behavioral Intention dan 0.596 pada variabel Use Behavior.

A pandemic that happened a few years ago has forced universities around the world to adopt online learning. This was driven by government regulations that forced society to adopt health protocol and social distancing. The adoption of Google Classroom as a Learning Management System happens to be potential to universities because of its relative lower cost compared to other Learning Management System, the ability to integrate with Google Meet which is an online videoconference application, and helps in managing learning files. XYZ University provided learning management services through Google Classroom. However, the usage of this LMS post-pandemic instead happens to decrease after the social distancing regulation lifted. This has become attention for the researcher to analyze and give recommendation to XYZ University on improving the usage of Google Classroom in the post-pandemic era to digitalize and centralize learning process in a system. The researcher has designed the research stages starting from problem formulation, using UTAUT2 approach, analysis with PLS-SEM and providing recommendations for the university. This model resulted in two variables affecting the acceptance of Google Classroom that is performance expectancy and habit. Also, this model has an R-Square value of 0.564 for behavioral intention and 0.596 for use behavior.
