Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memeriksa kualitas sambungan hasil pengelasan pada support frame Knelson Screen. Dua metode pengelasan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) dan Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Untuk menguji kualitas sambungan pengelasan, dilakukan dua jenis pengujian non-destruktif yaitu Magnetic Test dan Ultrasonic Test. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sambungan pada support frame Knelson Screen memiliki kualitas yang baik dan tidak terdapat cacat pada sambungan tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode FCAW dan GTAW dapat menghasilkan sambungan pengelasan yang berkualitas tinggi untuk aplikasi pada support frame Knelson Screen.

This study aims to evaluate the weld joint quality of the support frame for the Knelson Screen. Two welding methods, Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), were employed in this research. To assess the weld joint quality, two non-destructive testing methods were used: Magnetic Test and Ultrasonic Test. The results of the tests indicated that the weld joints on the support frame of the Knelson Screen exhibited high quality with no defects. These findings demonstrate that FCAW and GTAW methods can produce high-quality weld joints suitable for applications in the support frame of the Knelson Screen.
