Abstract

Laporan magang industri yang bertempat di PT. PLN Indonesia Power Suralaya PGU. Pembangkit ini memiliki kapasitas output energi sebesar 3400 Mega Watt. Terdapat 2 jenis air heater yang digunakan, yaitu primary air heater dan secondary air heater. Air heater berfungsi untuk memanaskan udara sampai ke tingkat temperatur tertentu hingga pembakarannya optimal di dalam boiler. Air Heater memiliki peran penting dalam pemanasan awal karena udara pembakaran menjadi hal utama dalam peningkatan efisiensi boiler. Laporan ini menganalisa efektivitas dan perpindahan panas yang terjadi pada primary air heater sisi A pada unit 5 di PT. PLN Indonesia Power Suralaya PGU. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi kebocoran udara yang terjadi dan menghitung perpindahan panas dan efektivitas pada berbagai beban operasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kebocoran udara meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya beban operasi nilai terbesarnya ada pada beban operasi maksimal 600 MW. Begitu juga dengan efektivitas yang semakin kecil seiring meningkatnya beban operasi. Dengan adanya perhitungan ini juga menunjukkan adanya potensi kerusakan pada heating element PAH 5A akibat adanya overheat dan peningkatan laju korosi. Saran yang diberikan yaitu dengan memelihara seal rotor secara rutin untuk mencegah besarnya kebocoran pada primary air heater

Industrial internship report located at PT PLN Indonesia Power Suralaya PGU. This plant has an energy output capacity of 3400 Mega Watts. There are 2 types of air heaters used, namely primary air heaters and secondary air heaters. The air heater serves to heat the air to a certain temperature level until its combustion is optimal in the boiler. Air Heater has an important role in preheating because combustion air becomes the main thing in increasing boiler efficiency. This report analyzes the effectiveness and heat transfer that occurs in the primary air heater side A in unit 5 at PT PLN Indonesia Power Suralaya PGU. The analysis is performed by identifying the air leakage that occurs and calculating the heat transfer and effectiveness at various operating loads. The results of the analysis show that air leakage increases as the operating load increases, the largest value is at a maximum operating load of 600 MW. Likewise, the effectiveness is getting smaller as the operating load increases. This calculation also shows the potential damage to the PAH 5A heating element due to overheat and increased corrosion rates. The advice given is to maintain the rotor seal regularly to prevent the amount of leakage in the primary air heater.
