Abstract

Indonesia memiliki kekayaan alam yang melimpah baik di dalam lau ataupu di dalam bumi. Sebagai sebuah negara berkembang, kekayaan alam tersebut perlu dimanfaatkan sebaik mungkin untuk menyokong kebutuhan energi nasional hingga tahun yang akan datang. Sayangnya dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan energi, Indonesia masih bergantung pada energi tidak terbarukan. Penggunaan energi tidak terbarukan ini menghasilkan emisi karbon yang besar sehingga menyebabkan pemanasan global. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu cara untuk mengurangi jumlah emisi karbon yang ada di udara. Precipitated Calcium Carbonated (PCC) merupakan kalsium karbonat yang disintesa dari CaCO3 melalui proses karbonasi. Proses karbonasi dilakukan dengan mereaksikan CO2 dengan Calcium Hirdoksida Ca(OH)2 hasil dari proses slaking. Pada pembuatan PCC terdapat dua bahan utama yang digunakan yaitu CaO dan CO2. CaO atau kapur tohor didapatkan secara komersil dari seluruh Indonesia. Pabrik PCC ini akan didirikan dengan kapasitas produksi 202.000 ton/tahun sepanjang 330 hari operasi per tahun. Lokasi pabrik direncanakan berada di Desa Kasiman, Kecamatan Kerek, Kabupaten Tuban, Jawa Timur. Pemilihan lokasi berdasarkan kedekatan dengan bahan baku yaitu flue gas dari PT Semen Indonesia Tbk Pabrik Tuban. Dari studi evaluasi ekonomi pabrik ini, disimpulkan bahwa didapatkan penaksiran modal (CAPEX) sebesar Rp 958.673.318.114,34; biaya operasional (OPEX) sebesar Rp 1.011.519.602.655,08. Berdasarkan analisa ekonomi terhadap pabrik ini menunjukkan laju pengembalian modal (IRR) didapatkan sebesar 17,38% dengan bunga pinjaman 8,05% per tahun dan WACC 8,8%. Waktu pengembalian modal (POT) adalah 3,77 tahun dengan umur pabrik 12 tahun. NPV didaptkan bernilai positif sebesar Rp 526.249.861.725,32. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik layak didirikan.

Indonesia has abundant natural wealth both in the sea and on the earth. As a developing country, these natural resources need to be utilized as best as possible to meet national energy needs for years to come. Unfortunately, in meeting energy needs, Indonesia still depends on non-renewable energy. The use of renewable energy produces large carbon emissions, causing global warming. Therefore, we need a way to reduce the amount of carbon emissions in the air. Precipitated Calcium Carbonation (PCC) is calcium carbonate which is synthesized from CaCO3 through a carbonation process. The carbonation process is carried out by reacting CO2 with Calcium Hydoxide Ca(OH)2 resulting from the slaking process. In making PCC, there are two main materials used, namely CaO and CO2. CaO or quicklime is obtained commercially from all over Indonesia. This PCC factory will be established with a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year for 330 operational days per year. The factory location is planned to be in Kasiman Village, Kerek District, Tuban Regency, East Java. Location selection was based on proximity to the raw material, namely flue gas from PT Semen Indonesia Tbk Tuban Plant. From the economic evaluation study of this factory, it was concluded that a capital assessment (CAPEX) of IDR 958.673.318.114,34 was obtained; operational costs (OPEX) amounting to 1.011.519.602.655,08. Based on economic analysis of this factory, the rate of return on capital (IRR) obtained is 17,38% with loan interest of 8,05% per year and WACC of 8.8%. The payback period (POT) is 3,77 years with a plant age of 12 years. The NPV was found to have a positive value of IDR 526.249.861.725,32. So it can be concluded that the factory established is feasible.
