Abstract
Analisis ekonomi dilakukan dan didapatkan data Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) sebesar Rp217.181.210.789; Operational Expenditure (OPEX) sebesar Rp170.197.041.372; Net Present Value (NPV) sebesar Rp84.770.408.771 dengan Internal Rate of Return sebesar 19,50%, Break Event Point sebesar 50,55%, dan Pay-out Time (POT) selama 6 tahun setelah pabrik beroperasi.

The demand for energy continues to increase each year, while the main resources currently used are fossil-based and non-renewable. This has led to the development of various alternatives, one of which is bioethanol, a type of biofuel. The raw materials for bioethanol are widely developed, including those derived from sorghum stalks. Using sorghum stalks as a raw material for bioethanol is considered advantageous both economically and technically, leading to the design of a bioethanol plant from sorghum stalks with a capacity of 15,000,000 liters per year. The main processes of this plant include pre-treatment for lignin degradation, fermentation using SSCF technology, and purification using distillation and molecular sieves. The designed plant will begin operation in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in 2027, assuming 330 operational days per year. Economic analysis showed a Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) of Rp217,181,210,789; Operational Expenditure (OPEX) of Rp170,197,041,372; Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp84,770,408,771 with an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 19.50%, Break Even Point (BEP) of 50,55% and a Pay-out Time (POT) of 6 years after the plant begins operation. Additionally, the plant emphasizes the concept of green industry based on government regulations by having a waste treatment unit and reusing waste that still has economic value. It is concluded that this plant is feasible to establish.
