Abstract

Sebaran satwa mangsa potensial terbagi menjadi 3 kategori potensi sebaran. Kategori potensi sebaran tinggi memiliki luasan 32,9% dari total kawasan TNBTS dengan validasi 51 titik temuan sebesar 77,27%. Kategori potensi sebaran sedang memiliki luasan 56,28% dari total kawasan TNBTS dengan validasi 11 titik temuan sebesar 16,67%. Kategori potensi sebaran rendah memiliki luasan 6,95% dari total kawasan TNBTS dengan validasi 4 titik temuan sebesar 6,06%
=====================================================================================================================================
The Javanese leopard (Panthera pardus melas) is a subspecies of the leopard (Panthera pardus (Linnaeus, 1758)) with a distribution limited to Java Island, Kangean Island, Nusakambangan Island and Sempu Island and has been a protected animal by the Indonesian Government since 1970 Based on the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture No.421/Kpts/Um/8/1970, this protection was continued by PP No. 7/1999, UU no.5/1990, and Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation 106/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM. 1/12/2018 and has been included in the IUCN Redlist with the threat status category Endangered and included in CITES Appendix I. The existence of the Javan leopard is closely related to the type and number of prey animals. Potential prey animals that have been identified are the long-tailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis), wild boar (Sus scrofa), deer (Muntiacus muntjak), civet (Viverricula malaccensis), Javan pangolin (Manis javanica), and Javan porcupine (Hystrix javanicus), however The distribution of potential prey animals has not been scientifically identified and published. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the distribution of potential prey animals for the Javan leopard in the TNBTS area. This research was carried out through several stages, including observing traces of potential prey animals, taking traces of potential prey animals including taking feces and traces other than feces, as well as the camera trap method as a confirmation method. Then, continue with the identification of feces samples and apart from the feces of potential prey animals of the Javan leopard and the results of camera trap recordings will be used to confirm the finding of traces of potential prey animals of the Javan leopard. Next, a spatial analysis process was carried out using Arcgis software by entering 3 layers of environmental variables. The finding points are used as validation of the spatial analysis results. The results of this research showed traces of potential prey animals in the form of feces, footprints, feeding tracks and nests. The distribution of potential prey animals is divided into 3 categories of potential distribution. The high distribution potential category has an area of 32.9% of the total TNBTS area with validation of 51 discovery points amounting to 77.27%. The medium distribution potential category has an area of 56.28% of the total TNBTS area with validation of 11 finding points amounting to 16.67%. The low distribution potential category has an area of 6.95% of the total TNBTS area with validation from 4 finding points of 6.06%
