Abstract

Kijing Port is a port owned by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero), which is located in West Kalimantan Province, Pontianak, precisely Menpawah Regency. The construction of this port aims to support the growing industry in West Kalimantan Province because the increasing demand for main commodities in Pontianak Regency will increase the number of ships and cargo capacity leaving and entering the port. Ships that dock at the port will certainly be moored so that they are not washed away by the waves. The purpose of writing this final project is to analyze the mooring rope tension during ship mooring, especially during ship-to-ship mooring conditions at the Kijing Terminal Pier. The ships used in this case study are the LNG ships SK Audace and Surya Aki, with two conditions, namely full load and ballast. The SK Audace ship leaned and moored to the Jetty, and the Surya Aki ship was moored to the SK Audace ship. The modeling of the mooring system was done numerically using the dynamic method. The analysis was carried out under intact and damaged conditions, or one broken rope. The codes and standards used are OCIMF. Rope tension is analyzed using environmental data for 10-year and 100-year operational conditions for Accidental Limit State conditions where one of the ropes is broken. The mooring rope stress analysis also analyzes the tidal changes that occur at the dock. In operational conditions, all ropes are within safe limits except in the SK Audace Ballast - SK Audace Full load High Water Level condition where at headings 135ᵒ and 180ᵒ the SF > 2.2 on the FWD breast 5 rope. In the ALS SK Audace Ballast - SK Audace Full load condition, rope failure occurs at headings 0ᵒ and 180ᵒ where at these headings there are ropes that have exceeded the permissible tension limit of 233.70 kN.
