Abstract

Virtual production is a filmmaking technology that combines traditional film production techniques with modern technology. The film production process with virtual production technology involves many aspects, one of which is camera handling. Camera handling refers to the techniques and skills needed to use the camera so that it can produce the best scene during the shooting process. To perform the virtual production process, there are often difficulties in camera settings. A camera asset that can be directly used for virtual camera is needed. An alternative is needed to perform the virtual production process without having to use an external device. This research aims to solve some of these problems by making camera handling settings that can be used for the purposes of virtual production in the metaverse using Unreal Engine 5. In this research, camera data that is often used to perform virtual production is needed and then simulated in Unreal Engine 5 with the same settings as the camera data that has been obtained. The final result of this research is the camera handling settings in the form of ten camera variations that can be used for the virtual production process. The results of the camera handling settings have been tested by measuring the response time of each variation.
