Abstract

Micro-mobility is a new alternative mobility that carries the concept of sustainability because it can reduce traffic congestion, maintain air quality, and reduce CO2 emissions generated from the transportation sector. One of the most popular types of micro-mobility today is the e-scooter which is often adopted into the e-scooter sharing system (ESS) scheme. ESS can be a solution to solve the issues that exist in the campus environment in Indonesia. Some of these issues are limited parking space, lack of intra-campus mobility facilities, and also high air pollution in the campus environment. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember is one of the universities in Indonesia that is experiencing some of these problems. By implementing ESS in the campus environment in Indonesia, it is hoped that these issues can be resolved. Therefore, it is necessary to further explore the factors that can affect the success of ESS implementation in Indonesia. For this reason, this research will use the UTAUT 2 framework which is integrated with several variables in identifying factors that influence the intention to adopt an e-scooter sharing system in the ITS campus environment in the hope of supporting the Green Campus program. The data was collected using a questionnaire method on ITS students and interviews on students who have used ESS, then analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method. This study considers ten factors as latent variables, seven of which are adopted from the UTAUT2 framework. In addition, there are three additional factors involved in this study, namely environmental concerns (EC), perceived safety (PS), and weather condition (WC). The results of this study show that the weather condition (WC) factor is the only factor that affects the intention to adopt e-scooter sharing system.
