Abstract

Pengelolaan persediaan merupakan fungsi yang sangat penting pada setiap perusahaan. Pengelolaan persediaan pada perusahaan retail adalah proses proses untuk memastikan barang dagangan yang diinginkan konsumen dapat terpenuhi dengan jumlah persediaan yang tidak terlalu sedikit ataupun terlalu banyak. Permintaan barang dari konsumen di perusahaan retail cenderung tidak menentu dan tidak dapat diketahui secara pasti sehingga memerlukan metode pengelolaan persediaan yang baik. Kondisi tidak ideal yang terjadi di perusahaan retail yang di teliti adalah servis level pemenuhan permintaan barang dari toko ke distribution center yang dibawah target, masih adanya out of stock di distribution center dan masih tingginya inventory days of supply. Diperlukan penentuan strategi pengelolaan persediaan yang paling tepat untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan evaluasi sistem existing dengan melakukan ABC inventory classification dengan pendekatan Ng model dan penerapan inventory policy sistem (R,s,S) untuk direkomendasikan dalam pengelolaan persediaan di distribution center perusahaan retail. Penerapan inventory policy sistem (R,s,S) dengan pendekatan power approximation dan perubahan periode review memberikan hasil perbaikan ukuran kinerja supply chain yaitu inventory days of supply turun sebesar 5,03 atau sebesar 44,21% dibandingkan metode existing, dari simulasi penerapan pengelolaan persediaan juga diperoleh bahwa servis level yang diperoleh adalah 100% dan stockout sebesar 0%. Penerapan inventory policy tersebut dapat menghasilkan trade off pencapaian inventory days of supply yang lebih kecil dibandingkan metode lain, namun tetap memberikan tingkat servis level dan stockout yang optimal.

Inventory management is a very important function in every company. Inventory management in retail companies is a process to ensure that the merchandise desired by consumers can be fulfilled with an amount of inventory that is not too little or too much. Demand for goods from consumers in retail companies tends to be uncertain and cannot be known for sure so that it requires a good inventory management method. The non-ideal conditions that occur in the retail company studied are the service level of fulfilling demand for goods from stores to distribution centers that are below target, there is still out of stock in the distribution center and the high inventory days of supply. It is necessary to determine the most appropriate inventory management strategy to overcome this. In this study, an evaluation of the existing system was carried out by conducting ABC inventory classification with the Ng model approach and the application of the inventory policy system (R, s, S) to be recommended in inventory management at the distribution center of the retail company. The application of the inventory policy system (R, s, S) with the power approximation approach and changes in the review period provided improved results in supply chain performance measures, namely inventory days of supply decreased by 5.03 or 44.21% compared to the existing method, from the simulation of the application of inventory management it was also obtained that the service level obtained was 100% and stockout was 0%. The implementation of this inventory policy can result in a trade-off of achieving smaller inventory days of supply compared to other methods, but still provides optimal service levels and stockouts.
