Abstract
Salah satu jenis industri yang cukup berkembang di Indonesia yakni industri pakan ternak. Kegiatan produksi di industri pakan ternak beroperasi selama 24 jam yang dibagi menjadi tiga shift, sehingga berpotensi menghasilkan limbah padat non B3, berupa limbah padat sisa hasil produksi dan limbah domestik. Jika limbah tersebut tidak dikelola dengan baik, maka akan berdampak terhadap pencemaran lingkungan. Limbah padat non B3 yang dihasilkan oleh industri pakan ternak, dikumpulkan pada Tempat Penyimpanan Sementara (TPS) sebelum nantinya diangkut oleh pihak ketiga untuk dibuang ke Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA). Industri pakan ternak belum melakukan pendataan dan pengelolaan limbah secara maksimal, sehingga diperlukan intervensi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan limbah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi timbulan dan komposisi limbah, serta potensi pengelolaan limbah. Proses pengelolaan limbah eksisting di industri pakan ternak yaitu pengurangan limbah padat dilakukan dengan penerapan paperless, inventarisasi dan identifikasi limbah padat disesuaikan dengan jenis limbahnya yaitu limbah domestik dan limbah industri (sisa produksi), pewadahan menggunakan tempat sampah berukuran 5 liter dan 118 liter, pengumpulan limbah dengan menggunakan karung 50kg, pemindahan limbah dengan troli dan gerobak, pengangkutan limbah untuk dibuang ke TPA Benowo oleh pihak ketiga dengan truk colt diesel double, serta pelaporan internal perusahaan melalui program sustainability reporting system. Timbulan dan komposisi limbah padat yang dihasilkan oleh industri pakan ternak adalah limbah domestik 14,09 kg/hari dan limbah industri 1641,53 kg/hari, yang mana limbah domestik yang dominan yaitu limbah biodegradabel 3,82 kg/hari yang terdiri dari sisa makanan dan dedaunan, sedangkan limbah industri yang dominan yaitu tumpi jagung 1025,28 kg/hari dan karung karbonat 368,21 kg/hari. Diharapkan dengan adanya identifikasi timbulan dan komposisi limbah padat, perusahaan dapat melakukan pengelolaan limbah padat menjadi lebih maksimal dan menghasilkan nilai ekonomis, sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan dalam melakukan pengelolaan limbah padat.

One of the growing industries in Indonesia is the feedmill industry. Production activities in the livestock feed industry operate 24 hours a day, divided into three shifts, potentially generating non-hazardous and toxic waste, including solid waste from production and domestic waste. If these wastes are not managed properly, they can have environmental pollution impacts. Non-hazardous and toxic waste produced by feedmill industry is collected at a Temporary Storage Facility before being transported by a third party for disposal at landfill. Feedmill industry has not conducted comprehensive data collection and waste management, requiring intervention to improve waste management. The purposes of this research is to identify the generation and composition of waste, as well as the potential for waste management at this industry. The existing waste management process in the poultry feed industry includes the reduction of solid waste through the implementation of paperless practices, identification of solid waste according to its type, which is domestic waste and industrial waste (production residue). Waste containment uses 5-liter and 118-liter trash bins, waste collection is done using 50kg sacks, waste transfer is conducted with trolleys and garbage cart, and waste transportation to the Benowo landfill is carried out by a third party using a double diesel colt truck. Internal company reporting is done through the sustainability reporting system. Composition of waste produced by the poultry feed industry are 14.09 kg/day of domestic waste and 1641.53 kg/day of industrial waste. The dominant domestic waste is organic waste, amounting to 3.82 kg/day, which consists of food scraps and leaves, while the dominant industrial waste is corn husks at 1025.28 kg/day and carbonate sacks at 368.21 kg/day. It is hoped that with the identification of waste generation and composition, It can optimize waste management, generate economic value, and reduce the costs incurred in waste management.
