Abstract

Busur api adalah aspek krusial dalam sistem kelistrikan yang memerlukan analisis mendalam untuk memastikan keselamatan pekerja dari paparan energi insiden. Metode berdasarkan standar IEEE 1548-2002 digunakan untuk mengevaluasi bahaya busur api dan menentukan persyaratan Pakaian Pelindung Diri (PPE) bagi pekerja. Namun, pada sistem dengan banyak bus, proses ini membutuhkan banyak data dan waktu. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kurva batas energi untuk menyederhanakan analisis. Hasilnya adalah penentuan PPE sesuai pedoman NFPA 70E-2015 dan perhitungan jarak aman maksimum dari busur api. Studi ini fokus pada penyederhanaan analisis bahaya busur api di Perusahaan Tambang Nikel Indonesia, terutama pada beban tambahan (aux).

Arc flash is a critical aspect of electrical systems that requires thorough analysis to ensure worker safety from incident energy exposure. The method based on the IEEE 1548-2002 standard is used to evaluate arc flash hazards and determine Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for workers. However, in systems with many buses, this process requires extensive data and time. Therefore, this study utilizes the energy boundary curve method to simplify the analysis. The outcome includes determining PPE in accordance with NFPA 70E-2015 guidelines and calculating the maximum safe distance from an arc flash. This study focuses on simplifying arc flash hazard analysis at an Indonesian Nickel Mining Company, specifically targeting auxiliary loads.
