Abstract
Education Roaming atau yang dikenal dengan Eduroam merupakan layanan roaming internasional yang dikembangkan untuk komunitas penelitian dan pendidikan. Layanan ini memungkinkan anggotanya untuk mendapatkan konektivitas internet di seluruh perguruan tinggi hanya dengan memasukkan kredensial akses dari perguruan tinggi asal. Sayangnya, Eduroam belum tersebar secara menyeluruh pada perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk merancang arsitektur dan infrastruktur test bed jaringan client Eduroam di perguruan tinggi serta menguji konektivitas layanannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arsitektur test bed jaringan client Eduroam di perguruan tinggi menggunakan topologi bintang yang mencakup 3 area, yaitu ITS Zone sebagai klien Eduroam, National Zone sebagai pusat otentikasi, dan UB Zone sebagai validator Eduroam. Router antararea dapat berkomunikasi menggunakan routing protocol BGP dan terhubung melalui cloud menggunakan Frame Relay. Infrastruktur test bed dirancang dengan menginstalasi dan mengonfigurasi server RADIUS dan server LDAP pada mesin virtual Ubuntu Server 22.04, membuat halaman login hotspot melalui router Mikrotik, serta mengintegrasikan router dan server. Dari keseluruhan pengujian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa test bed jaringan client Eduroam di perguruan tinggi berhasil dirancang dengan memberikan akses untuk pengguna terdaftar dan menolak akses bagi pengguna yang tidak terdaftar.

Education Roaming, also known as Eduroam, is an international roaming service developed for the research and education community. This service allows its members to get internet connectivity across universities by simply entering the access credentials from the university of origin. Unfortunately, Eduroam has not spread thoroughly to universities in Indonesia. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim to design the architecture and infrastructure of Eduroam client network test bed in universities and test the connectivity of its services. The results showed that the architecture of Eduroam client network test bed in higher education using a star topology that includes 3 areas, namely ITS Zone as Eduroam client, National Zone as the authentication center, and UB Zone as Eduroam validator. Routers between areas can communicate using routing protocol BGP and connected through the cloud using Frame Relay. The test bed infrastructure is designed by installing and configuring RADIUS server and LDAP server on Ubuntu Server 22.04 virtual machine, creating a hotspot login page through Mikrotik router, and integrating the router and server. From the overall testing that has been done, it can be concluded that the Eduroam client network test bed in college was successfully designed by providing access for registered users and denying access for unregistered users.
