Abstract

Collecting vessel sampling data using a Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) can be done quickly, when compared to other measuring instruments, the Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) has a higher level of accuracy and more effective and efficient operating time. Mining activities require calculating the volume of sampling vessels after transporting overburden to the disposal area. Sampling vessels are carried out once a week to ensure that the volume of overburden transported by Heavy Duty (HD) matches the load capacity. This research aims to compare the capabilities of Surpac and AutoCAD Civil 3D in calculating the volume of sampling vessels using the Borrow Pit, Contour and Cross Section methods in the mine area PT. Pamapersada Nusantara. The analysis is carried out by calculating the percentage of the lowest volume calculation for each method and software against the truck count or load capacity calculation results for each Heavy Duty (HD) to obtain the most optimal volume and close to the reference value. The results of the research show that the lowest percentage value of the volume calculation difference is in the Contour method calculation with a contour interval of 0.15 in the software Surpac, which is 32.64%, which means the Heavy Duty (HD) load exceeds 32.64% of the truck count. The Contour method in the software Surpac has the smallest volume percentage value. This is because the Kontur method is more suitable for calculating piles in the form of mounds, whereas the software Surpac has been specifically created to support mining data processing.
