Abstract

Struktur dengan sistem isolasi dasar adalah sebuah perkembangan teknologi yang bertujuan meningkatkan kinerja bangunan terhadap gaya gempa dengan memperpanjang periode struktur hingga 2 hingga 3 kali lebih lama dibandingkan dengan struktur dengan sistem fixed base. Sistem isolasi dasar mengatur periode redaman alami dan redaman struktur serta mengurangi tingkat kerusakan yang terjadi pada bangunan. Dalam tugas akhir ini, struktur gedung tidak hanya dimodifikasi menggunakan sistem isolasi dasar tipe High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB), tetapi juga dilakukan perbandingan respon struktur dan volume dengan struktur yang menggunakan sistem fixed base pada Gedung Mother dan Child Health RSUP Hasan Sadikin Bandung. Pemodelan struktur pada gedung ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan sistem HDRB. Selanjutnya, model struktur dianalisis menggunakan metode nonlinear time history untuk rekaman gempa dan respon spektrum, yang menghasilkan output berupa periode struktur, gaya geser dasar, momen, simpangan, perpindahan, dan volume. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa struktur dengan base isolation memperpanjang periode hingga 2,35 kali dari fixed base dan menghasilkan gaya geser statik 12,96% lebih tinggi. Meskipun gaya geser dasar meningkat, struktur base isolation lebih efisien dalam mereduksi simpangan antar lantai hingga 59-60% dan menghasilkan perpindahan yang lebih besar. Selain itu, volume beton yang dibutuhkan untuk base isolation lebih besar, namun volume besi lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan fixed base. Kesimpulannya, struktur dengan base isolation menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik, dengan kerusakan yang hanya terjadi pada bagian minor, berbeda dengan fixed base yang didesain untuk memungkinkan kerusakan besar atau tulangan leleh.

Structures with base isolation systems are a technological advancement aimed at improving the performance of buildings against seismic forces by extending the structural period by 2 to 3 times compared to structures with a fixed base system. The base isolation system adjusts the natural damping period and structural damping, reducing the level of damage to the building. In this final project, the building structure was not only modified using the High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB) base isolation system, but a comparison of the structural response and volume was also conducted with the fixed base system at the Mother and Child Health Building of RSUP Hasan Sadikin Bandung. The structure was modeled using the HDRB system. The model was then analyzed using the nonlinear time history method for earthquake records and response spectra, resulting in outputs such as structural period, base shear force, moment, deflection, displacement, and volume. The analysis results show that the base isolation structure extended the period up to 2.35 times that of the fixed base and generated a 12.96% higher static shear force. Although the base shear force increased, the base isolation structure was more efficient in reducing inter-story drift by 59-60% and resulted in greater displacement. Additionally, the volume of concrete required for base isolation was larger, while the volume of steel was smaller compared to the fixed base. In conclusion, the structure with base isolation demonstrated better performance, with damage occurring only in minor parts, unlike the fixed base, which is designed to allow major damage or reinforcement yielding.
