Abstract

The existence of Pasar Besar market, shophouse, Gajahmada market and Malang Square as the center of trade and tourism center caused the accretion of the visitors. The increasing number of visitors coming to the area also has the consequence of pedestrian concentration. The large flow of pedestrians and the presence of street vendors and illegal parking at several points along the sidewalk will greatly affect the comfort and freedom of pedestrians in moving around. For this reason, it is necessary to plan the improvements to pedestrian facilities in the area.
Analysis the service performance of Pasar Besar Street sidewalks with HCM
method and Prototype Gainesville. In the sequel, the required width of the sidewalk and the pedestrian facilities calculated according to the Technical Guidance No. 032/T/BM/2018 “Technical Planning of Pedestrian Facilities” the minimum obstacle free width in “Planning, Provision and Utiliztion of Pedestrian Network Infrastructure and Facilities In Urban Areas,2014” the results of the design is done with the aid program AutoCAD.
From the performance analysis of existing pedestrian facilities using the HCM method, the Gainesville Mobility Plan Prototype and the calculation results it was found that the analysis results in segment 9 got LOS A with analysis using HCM and LOS D using the Gainesville Mobility Plan Prototype. From the calculation results, the average speed for male is 46.6655 m/minute and for female is 50.932 m/minute.
