Abstract

Dan untuk hasil dari rancangan metode inspeksi yang dihasilkan adalah visual examination, follow up at locally thinned areas, coverage of the CML’s using untrasonic or profile radiography, serta visual inspection of >30% of the exposed surface area with follow-up by UT, RT or pit gauge as required.

=====================================================

NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineering) defines that corrosion is "the process of decay of a material, usually metal or the process of changing the properties of a material due to influence or reaction with the surrounding environment". Corrosion or rust occurs continuously without wanting to stop. If not handled properly, it will cause several losses including Supply gas shut down, decreased company image, decreased stock value, and low safety level. To minimize this danger, a preventive measure is needed so that the tool can always operate safely. One of them is by implementing Risk Based Inspection (RBI) on the tool. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is a method that makes risk the basis for determining the inspection plan or program. To get the risk value, some data and calculations are needed with reference to API 581. This study was conducted to determine the level of risk in API 5L grade B pipes located in Aloha, Maspion I Alumindo and Maspion I Sawotrarap. With pipe variations of 4 "at Maspion I Sawotratap, 6" at Aloha and 8" at Maspion I Alumindo. After analysis, it was found that the risk value of the three pipes was 1A - very low risk. And for the results of the inspection method design produced are visual examination, follow-up at locally thinned areas, coverage of the CML's using untrasonic or profile radiography, and visual inspection of >30% of the exposed surface area with follow-up by UT, RT or pit gauge as required. Meanwhile, the inspection scheduling needs to be conducted again in the next 2 and 10 years.
