Abstract

The PLC Standing Simulator is designed with the flexibility to be moved and integrated with other plants, allowing users to take part in PLC training. This simulator can also design ladder diagrams, carry out wiring, and integrate with HMI. It aims to provide a comprehensive experience in designing, understanding, and testing PLC programs. Several tests have been carried out in developing this PLC Standing Simulator, including testing Digital Input/Output (DI/DO) and Analog Input/Output (AI/AO) voltages and testing the success of the five training schemes designed. DI/DO and AI/AO voltages are stable at 24V, with validator measurements showing 23.9V. Responsse times for standard operations for training schemes such as light control, automatic bell, and conveyor running vary up to 2 seconds. This simulator can control up to 8 devices simultaneously with a data refresh time interval of 100 ms. Under maximum load test conditions, the simulator can handle up to 10,000 operating cycles within 24 hours without significant performance degradation. The simulator was also tested in various environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 20 °C to 35 °C and relative humidity of 20% to 80%, showing that the system continues functioning well within these ranges.
