Abstract

Kawasan Candi Prambanan merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata budaya yang ada di Kabupaten Sleman, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. D.I Yogyakarta memiliki potensi dalam bidang pariwisatanya. Keunggulan sektor pariwisata tersebut memiliki dampak langsung terhadap perekonomian daerah. Perekonomian Yogyakarta berhasil menjadi kawasan perekonomian nasional dengan pertumbuhan tercepat pada tahun 2019. Berdasarkan rencana yang termuat dalam dokumen RTRW Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2019 – 2039, dijelaskan bahwa Kawasan Prambanan dan sekitarnya merupakan kawasan peruntukan pariwisata yang memiliki fokus sebagai kawasan wisata alam, wisata petualangan, wisata purbakala , wisata budaya, wisata pendidikan, dan desa wisata. Kawasan Candi Prambanan dikelola oleh beberapa entitas yang berbeda, termasuk PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) dan beberapa badan lainnya. Perbedaan dalam manajemen seringkali menyebabkan kurangnya koordinasi dalam pengelolaan kawasan wisata, yang pada gilirannya menghambat upaya untuk meningkatkan daya saing wisata. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut diperlukan sebuah strategi untuk mengoptimalkan potensi wisata budaya yang ada pada Kawasan Prambanan yang didasari oleh preferensi stakeholder.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi optimalisasi daya saing pada wisata budaya pada Kawasan Prambanan. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, dilakukan identifikasi karakteristik kegiatan pariwisata yang ada di Kawasan Candi Prambanan dengan melakukan wawancara terhadap 6 stakeholder terpilih; dilanjutkan dengan melakukan pengelompokkan terhadap faktor internal maupun eksternal yang sudah teridentifikasi dengan metode deskriptif-kualitatif; dilanjutkan dengan merumuskan strategi berdasarkan faktor internal dan eksternal menggunakan metode analisis SWOT (strength, oppoturnity, weakness, threats). Didapatkan beberapa strategi pengembangan seperti pengadaan event, pembuatan paket wisata, program pelatihan, kerjasam dengan UMKM dan lain sebagainya. Dengan penerapan strategi-strategi ini, diharapkan Kawasan Candi Prambanan dapat berkembang menjadi destinasi wisata yang lebih inklusif, menarik, dan berkelanjutan, serta memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat sekitar.

The Prambanan Temple area is one of the cultural tourism destinations in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. DI Yogyakarta has potential in the tourism sector. The advantages of the tourism sector have a direct impact on the regional economy. Yogyakarta's economy succeeded in becoming the national economic area with the fastest growth in 2019.Based on the plan contained in the Yogyakarta Special Region RTRW document 2019 – 2039, it is explained that the Prambanan area and its surroundings are a designated tourism area which has a focus as a natural tourism area, adventure tourism, ancient tourism, cultural tourism, educational tourism and tourist villages. The Prambanan Temple area is managed by several different entities, including PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) and several other bodies. Differences in management often lead to a lack of coordination in the management of tourist areas, which in turn hinders efforts to increase tourism competitiveness. Based on these problems, a strategy is needed to optimize the tourism potential of cultural temples in the Prambanan area which is based on stakeholder preferences.
This study aims to formulate a strategy to optimize competitiveness in cultural tourism in the Prambanan area. To achieve the research objectives, an identification of the characteristics of tourism activities in the Prambanan Temple Area was carried out by interviewing 6 selected stakeholders; continued by grouping internal and external factors that have been identified using descriptive-qualitative methods; continued by formulating strategies based on internal and external factors using the SWOT analysis method (strength, opportunity, weakness, threats). Several development strategies were obtained such as event procurement, tour package creation, training programs, cooperation with MSMEs and so on. By implementing these strategies, it is hoped that the Prambanan Temple Area can develop into a more inclusive, attractive, and sustainable tourist destination, as well as provide economic and social benefits to the surrounding community.
